Gino76ph, 11 Dec 2024I do not place my phone in a hot or warm area such as in di... morePixels, especially after 7 are well balanced phones, not too big, good build quality, good camera processing + good custom rom support.
Further more, pixels receive best support on custom roms, and easy to get fully working ones without much hassle.
If you look at other brands, the spec & price may seem attractive, but the catch is you will have harder time finding and flashing fully working custom rom, many people are stuck with bloatware and poor battery life.
Anyways- if I were you, I'd be happy with the phone you have.
Just saying.

That's normal and not great or bad (according to my own experience with several other phones I tried).
*If you degoogle (flash a rom without google & remove google services) it, then it will be even better.

Anonymous, 11 Dec 2024That sounds normal, but it depends things such as climate, ... moreI do not place my phone in a hot or warm area such as in direct sunlight, near an oven, car bonet, etc. I only install apps from the Play Store and had the same number of apps consistently in the past 5 years, during daytime I've set my brightness anything between 60%-75% (lower during evening).
I have turned off all unnecessary location, permissions, notifications and turned off background data in 95% of my apps.
So, in 6 days of usage i am so far getting approx / almost consistent 30% left in my tank by 9pm.
The most punishing day that i use my phone (listening to podcasts, Youtube via wireless earbuds, casting to my TV, installing a CCTV app and trying to set it up - i was left with just over 20% by 9pm.
So, you still think the battery is good to decent?
Will the battery "stabalize" after a week or so you think?

In general, things should settle down after a few weeks of usage.

Saskatchewan, Canada. Through Sasktel the phone is free with the 2 year contract of the $80 a month plan. It has 15 GB data (additional is cheap to add on) unlimited everything else, just ordered 2 - 256 GB. For us this is a standard price for a plan from almost all carriers, but I’m told Canada is very high compared to other countries, so it’s a good deal.

Anonymous, 07 Dec 2024True, but... you do get top of the line products: Pixel, iP... moreYes, pros and cons either way.
Here, we don't find pixels or so much more overpriced.
At the same time, we find more budget friendly phones for cheaper price, and they last for a long time too.

I appreciate this is for the Pixel 9 but i wanna share my experience with having a Pixel 8 which i bought a few days ago especially with it's battery life.
It charges 2% every 2 minutes but also drains 1% per two minutes just by doing simple tasks such as downloading apps, watching Youtube tech and news channels, listening to 2-3 podcasts (of around 45-60 minutes each), going to my socials, checking my emails, MS Teams, writing notes, etc. No gaming, no streaming, no vlogging, no memory intensive tasks.
I charge my Pixel up to 90% each day. With my first 48 hours of experience doing those tasks my battery could drain to 50% past 3pm and could still have some juice by 9pm of under 30%.
Does those numbers sound good to you? Or not?

I'm pretty sure people there only have limited choices of phones and these nasty big carriers that often try to limit phone models from accessing their service.
