And as mentioned my other choices are Xiaomi 15 and Galaxy S25 tho i'm leaning more towards the former.

Anonymous, 11 Jan 2025"On GrapheneOS, Google Play Services run as a user app... moreIm new to grapheneOs, I don't know too much details. But currently I understand that hardware specifics virtualization that is done in grapheneOS and extra memory safety features are added too, like strengthened virtual memory allocators. So I guess while google store still can find out that pixel 9 is pixel 9, but it cannot get actual specific identifiers from a device so it can't find which specific pixel 9 device it is. If you use google account for google play , it's the only way for google to specify user. If you use aurora you can get apps anonymously, aurora uses public google accounts pool that is shared between millions of users, so specifying users is futile. Even if you install some very intrusive apps that has multiple hidden permission to look up at memory, those apps will be locked and will fail, crash. Anyway to get full understanding of GrapheneOs we would need very technical audition, testing, debugging and source code examination to get actual real view on this OS.

I'm looking to replace my ageing Pixel 8. I know there are hundreds of reviews out there but is the Pixel 9 Pro worth the price for it's upgrades than the Pixel 9?
Or would a Pixel 9 suffice albeit "incremental" upgrades over the Pixel 8?
Or save money and get a Galaxy S24 256GB (w/ UFS 4.0) instead?

              Pixel 9 or 9 Pro 256GB
              Galaxy S24 256GB or S25 256GB
              Xiaomi 15 256GB
              Any thoughts on these phones?

Very much sad to have it. It's only three months and troubles are plenty. The ringer volume mutes automatically, no ringer volume during whatsapp calling. Service centre is clueless as they have done factory reset twice but with no results. Google does not take any responsibility and insist on repairs by sending the phone to Master Service centre.
                                  Very much disappointed.

The only "downgrade" i can see if i purchase the S24 128GB/256GB is the slightly slower 25w charging and still no One UI 7 update.
