NeverPayOver1000eur, 21 Feb 2025Picked up one for my wife for 836 euro including the 33 eur... moretax sux so badly in europe

Picked up one for my wife for 836 euro including the 33 euro silicon case for free on Amazon Germany. The lowest price I saw it at was 799 euro but those had already sold out. Seems the price has jumped back to over 950 euro even just 1 day later, and in my home country it's over 1100 euro minimum but comes with an Asus Chromebook that I don't need or want at all, even to sell it unopened would just be a pain. Got it for her mainly for the camera which is ranked #2 on DXOMark.

My wife is looking forward to retiring her Xiaomi 13 Ultra. I'll pick up the Vivo X200 Ultra I think a little later this year.

Anonymous, 11 Feb 2025Well their sh*tty G4 chip is not that cheap either or is it... moreCan you compare apples and pears. The prices you state here are prices for lowest storage OP13 and highest storage P13P.

With comparing 256 GB versions, P13P is 30 bucks cheaper in my country, whereas OP13 doesn't even offer a 1TB version (which is the P13P version that you said costs 1500).

This gives a more balanced comparison, I hope.

Anonymous, 13 Feb 2025What about the Pixel features... People who use a non Pixe... moreNot too many people gets it, but once you upload your photos and let goggle AI scan & identify your photos, now they know ya completely.
But it isn't exactly a rocket science to understand this logic as goggle gets their business mainly by collecting and selling user data.
Also note that there's nothing completely free in this world.
If I were you, I would upload my photos to my own computer for free than uploading it to untrustworthy place.

          What about the Pixel features...
People who use a non Pixel device but do have a Google One account can benefit of using Google Photos for unlimited AI modifications with Magic Editor and, if they are ok to pay more, can even use Gemini Advanced on any device.
With a Pixel phone you only have 1 year of free Google One with Gemini Advanced, then you have to pay anyway to continue using such features, like you would do with other Android devices.
I can't see a real big benefit in choosing a Pixel over other phones as long as the unique software/AI features are not really unique.
          Am I wrong?

Anonymous, 11 Feb 2025Well their sh*tty G4 chip is not that cheap either or is it... moreNo doubt OP is generally is better for value
The only issue here is it isn't widely available here, which leads to price being not-so-good (same issue with goolag devices here though now with sam-scam, even then I still wouldn't pick Sam-scam but something else).

premium software, cameras, screen and design.
              midrange SoC and memoy.
For such a very premium price this device would have had sense with a minimum 3 years of free Google One Premium with Gemini Advanced included, instead of just one.

OnePlus 13 is a prime example how Scamsung and Google are scamming people. Especially Google sh*tty company charging like Apple iPhone and giving us chip performance of 2020 lol. Thats straight up scam!!!!

Even OnePlus 13 with high end powerful chip only costs $899 and sh*ts on these 2 garbage Scamming companies. If OnePlus can have triple times powerful chip and costs only $899 then there should be no reason for pathetic google to charge us $1500 at all.

How is this Pixel 9' modem performing in rural areas under 4G and 5G data connection for both calls and web browsing, compared to other smartphones you have recently tested in the same areas?

LTPO OLED are said to lower the refresh rate of the screen to 1 if you don't scroll for too long. Then what, how fast does it goes back above 60? Is it going to lag as hell when I read a page full of comics. If I wanted a phone that only uses the battery when I game, I'd buy a portative console, not a phone with gatcha repetitive apps. And people claim that newer is better. NO. I read those screens can't have the same pixel density. Why not make a better battery instead. I just plug my extra portative battery as needed. I don't need a phone that crash it's refresh rate to almost zero, and pay 3x the price for that.
