What’s special about the Google Pixel? Why is their chipset so slow, almost on par with Huawei's chipsets, even though Google is a major company that isn't hindered by foreign restrictions? It’s embarrassing compared to China. Pixel phones seem very stingy with everything. Tensor Gen 4 is comparable to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus. It might be better to buy the Samsung S25 Ultra, which already has the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 with more upgrades, or the ZTE Nubia 10 Pro Plus, which is priced similarly to the Pixel.

Plus Qualcomm ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. Plus 6.8 amazing LTPO display with 3000 nits of brightness. Plus 45W charging. Plus clean stock Android. Plus Exynos 5400 modem. There is a lot of positive stuff in Pixel 9 Pro XL. 😊🔝💯

I'm very sad because of the Tensor g4 it's very slow compared to the competition.. geekbench around 2000 single core and 4600 on multicore.. and still on 4nm process cmon 😤

1. Your country might have 5G but not your city or anyplace you go near.
2. The 5G setting is off on your smartphone

Now, the SD 8 Gen 4 has not been released yet, so it's possible those numbers are not true. BUT, considering the fact that a SD 8 Gen 2 gets around 1.5 mil... I'd say it's very disappointing for Tensor G4. Yes, they're not focusing on raw performance, but... you kinda feel it in menus / apps. Not that smooth...
Oh, well... NEXT!

1. To protect the battery, from around 0-20 and 80-100% charge rate is slowed. This is why a "full charge" takes longer than your calculated value.
2. When charging, the battery heats up, so to prevent damage, charging slows when it reaches about 35C usually in steps ex. 45w>30w>15w to maintain temperature. Ambient temp, and wether your using the phone affects how fast you reach the temperature limit.
3. When doing a quick top up, this is when the peak "45w" charge rate is most important. You can typically charge ~30% maintaining the max charge rate and regain hours of life in a few minutes.
