Pixel 9a better launch at $449 or $399. $499 would be a scam. This is just a 6a Pro. It's WORSE than the 7a and 8a. They were doing great with the 64MP sensors! Why'd they have to screw it up again? This was SUPPOSED to be the perfect budget phone, where we'd finally get faster charging to round it all out (great cameras, fast display, fast charging). I guess we just can't have nice things.

I mean, if 64MP sensors are expensive (seeing as OP13 also did away with that), then they could've compensated for that by replacing the ultrawide with a 3x or 3.5x telephoto. It would've been acceptable. It's the least they could do if they're downgrading the sensor AND keeping the measly 18W charging.

Honestly for 399$ it isn't that bad. I don't want to compare it to Chinese phones because they have horrid UI and bad support.

IF my phone charges withing 10 minutes it cost less electricity too compared to a phone who takes 2 hours to charge a battery.

I like it. Even the 18 W charging... Would have liked a quad-bayer 32 MP UW and front, tho.

18W charging speeds and 128GB should be prohibited in 2024 almost 2025.
All phones should have at least 100W and from 256GB or above along with a minimum of 8GB ram and 120HZ screens.
