The rumored Medi... moreWell, if Pixel 9a uses the old modem of Pixel 8 series, then I will also skip it and may switch to iPhone 16e from my 3 year old Pixel 6 Pro, which has frustrating call dropping issues on the carrier network as it looks really promising.

I think I'm gonna wait for 10a, guys. The rumored MediaTek modem should improve battery life by quite a bit. Also, not really a fan of 4 x Cortex-A520 cores. Yeah... I think Tensor G5 will be a much better performer. Currently using 7a. Patience is golden.

Of course, the launch price of 9a will be close to $ 600 in Europe, but $ 300 difference is not justified to consider the regular 9, imho.

I don't know what Google is up to, but this seems to confirm they are gonna kill the Pixel A series. The price has continued to rise, but even though there are more features, these recent Pixel A phones have been a far cry from the budget kings of the 3a - 6a. Also the 3a, 4a and 6a were reasonably small phones which filled a need for a lot of people who wanted a smaller phone, but didn't want to buy the overpriced iPhone and Galaxy phones. Even worse, I'm struggling to determine how this phone will even be worth buying vs a Pixel 9 which will surely be selling for near $500 in March if it hasn't already at some points. The Pixel A phones no longer meet the need of just being a decent phone for a decent price and have crossed well into upper mid-range price territory.
