I'm looking for a replacement to my iPhone 13 mini but the 16e seems overpriced. 9a is the right price and features with a big battery. Samsung is a no from me due to the bloatware (at least on their A series from past experience).

Mmm, I've seen rumours about an upcoming CMF Phone 2, which might be a smaller phone. Tested CMF Phone 1 - really smooth UI but lack of OIS on camera is somewhat noticeable. Wasn't bothered by lack of NFC as I don't pay with phone and most apps have a QR code that you can scan at different hipermarkets / shops. Also, rather large phone - looking for a small mid-range phone. Hoping they use JN5 with OIS on CMF Phone 2.

Anonymous, 20 Mar 2025Just buy an s24fe, its the same price but better specBuy an Exynos?

Anonymous, 20 Mar 2025Phone is good, price is not.cheaper than 16e, and only a bit more than the a56, better than 16e, equal to the a56.

Tensor for Midrange is perfect. but for Pro XL it is garbage.

Truly a 9a in that it's indistinguishable from the 9 in specs. But if Google was smart, they'd have kept the 64MP sensor, because the perfect budget phone is quite literally the Zenfone 8 on all-around specs. That's what the Pixel 9a should've been.

Nilesh, 20 Mar 2025And we do not need 4k displays too. Just HD is good enough ... moreOf course we don't need 4K display. For what ?
When You are on the way (a.k.a travel) I highly doubt You are able to stream videos in 4K. Most of the time the users just leave the video on defult (720/1080p).
Bigger screen/bigger resulution drains the battery for no reason.
Yes, I agree 5.9-6.1 would be better than 6.3.
Also a good point dor the 5100mAh battery.
If it really starts at 549€ in Europe that's a fair price for the phone.

You don't need raw power anymore. The 2010's era is long gone.
Google pixel 9a has more than enough computing capacity to handle everyday tasks and light gaming.
What you don't realize (most of the negative comments) what matters nowadays, how long the battery is gonna stay "healthy" (how many charging cycle it lasts) and how eayy to change it.
The second the software (how good is optimized) and the building quality. That's all You need.
Now tell me where do you need Snapdragon Elite level of raw power ? Nowhere. The producers still have problem with the heat what the phone generates and even though the batteries became a little bit better still not good enough for using a phone like a "hardcore" user. As long as we don't get a normal well functioning "pocket pc experience (a.k.a I put my phone on a display and runs like a laptop) there is no reason to trash raw computing power.
