well, for me i will go for samsung tab s8 or adding the bid to go for s9

Anonymous, 07 Dec 2023Do you think I should switch? My current daily driver table... moreIt's kinda hard to believe you aren't trolling but something about the sincere innocence of the rest of your comment tells me you're not.
The best opinion that few people will tell you is that if you're happy-ish with your current setup, you could probably get by purchasing an 89.99 ALLDOCUBE Tablet off Amazon that's gonna give you nearly double the specs but more importantly, blow your Nexus completely out of the water in terms of sophistication. I surmise that you're unlikely one to be subjectively impressed with an the latest features of next-gen but the most important upgrade that'll have you wondering how you ever kept your sanity with your Nexus is one word: Speed! After you've used the Amazon tablet for a day, getting back onto your Nexus just to grab and transfer a few files will have you wanting to pull your hair out. You'll know when you know, trust me.

Do you think I should switch? My current daily driver tablet is the Nexus 7 (2012) on android 4.4.4 kitkat. Lollipop was too laggy, but I'm thinking about replacing the N7. It's a little old at this point. Also I wish they pumped out another nice little 7 inch tablet similar to my Nexus 7, so people could have a smaller option than 10 inches. Just an idea!

As much as I wanna get a Pixel Tablet, I'll wait for the next Pixel tablet see they upgrade the battery more higher capacity for longer hours, and maybe more memory like 12GB or more storage like 512GB or 1TB..........

Too many tablets at a price of 670 EUR are better than this one in all aspects.

IPS panels don't get burn ins and permanent picture retention. I've been using phones with IPS panels for years, so don't even try to correct me with your BS. You don't have any device with IPS and OLED isn't long lasting as IPS

AlexAlexei, 19 Sep 2023Yeah the OLED screen dying after 3-5 years is kind of true,... moreTruth be told. Ips displays remain the same after several years of heavy use. For OLED screen, this is not a mature technology like IPS.

Dual battery for ultra fast charging
                    AMOLED screen
                    Lack of micro SD

All these expensive phones have major drawbacks and will never outlast entry level phones. From all the time I've seen people complaining about the ole V notch display, I've never seen any suspect vertical lines on my phones

Yeah the OLED screen dying after 3-5 years is kind of true, I had an Asus Zenfone 3 Zoom Phone and the screen just went black (forever) after 3.5 years (touchscreen was still working though as I mirrored the screen to a windows laptop via usb).
OLEDs are great but after 1-2 years they became less colorful, more prone to ghosting, and with the risk of dying. The only exception are the screen made from Samsung used in Samsung devices. Other than that IPS displays are just fine.

Also my phones colour accuracy is the same as my perfectly calibrated ips monitor so i really wouldnt be using that as a point.

Also no it wont, maybe if you have an oled tv with just 1 static image on it forever otherwise nope, specially not with LTPO oled screens. Ive had more ips screens with "burn in" than oled screens (people forget ips can have picture retention too).

You had to handpick extremely specific features to prove that the Pixel Tablet is the best. Like of course, other tablets don't have that base speaker thing because its a gimmick. Oneplus Pad is a better tablet in every way and is cheaper too, with the sole exception of the software and not having a fingerprint.

Compare this to the Asus Zenpad Z10 ZT500KL from 2016 (!) and you'll wonder what hardware devs have been doing with all their spare time. Not developing, that's for sure.

I really wish there was a tablet with an OLED screen without the dock option and most especially, 120Hz. That 60Hz is super egregious in my opinion

Worrying about your OLED screen burning in is about as relevant as worrying your SSD running out of TBW sooner than the SSD itself dying from some random electrostatic. You're more likely going to experience screen damage from some fall damage than your OLED burning in.

So how good is this compared to the more established players like say, Samsung Tab S8 and the likes?
Just not feeling like investing into some Google made hardware only to find that they dropped them like they always do with their projects.
