But, I recommend you to wait until Pixel 4 release and instead buy the Pixel 2 XL. Anyways, the support for Google Photos is going to expire in less than half year.

Hello, I'm from the US. I've purchased multiple original Pixel devices for friends and family. I think this phone is great to use in 2019. You can pickup this phone on ebay used for around $100 for the 128GB. For those who purchase used phones, do yourself a favor and purchase a new battery and take it to a local repair shop for them to replace. Ensure that the battery you purchase is a newly manufactured battery (the manufactured date is on the battery). Slap on a case and you're good to go!
This phone will get Android Q as it's last software update.
Lastly, the camera on here DOES support portrait mode, but you have to sideload it. I recommend Googling Arnova's Advanced to bring up a Google Camera Port developer page. Arnova is a developer who tweaks the Google camera software to unlock certain features. Download the latest version of the app (look for the one with the most current date). This camera app will have portrait mode and other software enhancements that the developers have been able unlock on the Pixel.
Ultimately, you can get a really good phone for a cheap price and enhance it with minor modifications. For people in developing/emerging market countries, this is a much better buy than getting an LG/BLU/Samsung phone. It's much more affordable and you'll get good value for what you're buying.

siddler, 09 Jun 2019this or motorola z force?I already have both pixel and pixel xl or you can say 2 pixel in both colors white and black and xl in black as well both pixel and xl are damn awesome phones i have ever used in my 21 years of line honestly its my 76th phone currently and i have 3 phones right now and i have used all phone till now its i use pixel coz its handy and feels soild in hand while xl is for just movies and mail shits but the only thing that makes this phone awesome is camera you can say its the best camera i have ever used in a phone i used to be iphone user as well last iphone i had was iphone 7 plus but i can say strongly its camera is far better then iphone 7 plus as well and i will say just grab it and you will never regret that you made a bad decision pixel or xl its your own choice xl is quite big to use in public for me more than a brick :)

I have the Pixel XL and it has been great. Latest updates to my phone give "night sight". It also has everything you would expect on a high end smartphone such as panorama and photo sphere. The camera is great and my GF bought an $800 camera and is annoyed that my photos are usually better.

is these screen resolution "same" as 1920 x 1080p? i want for to post on instagram story for my online shop, i need like 1080p 16:9 screen, pls confirm if this XL was same, or more tall? i hope 1440p can be more clear display and can't be cropped on instagram story

Screen is AMOLED display gives best result
Look and feel is good
Fast charger with in 1 hour
Fast fingerprint recognition
Neg:
Battery Backup is average as the performance is high
One day normal usage
While taking video auto focus is not good
Always get blurred video .sometimes blurred picture
Fast movement vidoe is not good .

I have been using Google Pixel XL for more than 2 years. I do not want to change it; it is really quick and camera is superb. The only problem I have is that the display faded out in same spots where same things are shown all the time. If I swich on completely blank screen I can see where all the icons were and the keyboard letters. That's a problem of all OLEDs.
