Gurman: iOS 16 to bring improved notifications, Apple will demo rOS for VR headset at WWDC
Apple’s annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) is scheduled to kick off on June 6 and we can safely anticipate the latest versions of Apple’s mobile, desktop and wearable operating systems. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman suggests that iOS 16 will bring improved notification management and new health-tracking features though no specific details were mentioned in the report.

In addition, Gurman reports that beta versions of iOS 16 (codenamed Sydney) indicate numerous references to Apple’s long-rumored VR headset which suggest we might get a tech demo of its rOS operating system on stage at the event. The headset will not be announced at the event but is expected to arrive in Q4 this year or in the first months of 2023.

iPadOS 16 might bring a reworked multi-tasking UI while watchOS 9 is expected to add in new health and activity tracking features. It remains to be seen what Apple has in store for its macOS and tvOS updates. We should get more details on some of the new features making their way to the upcoming Apple operating systems in the coming months which will hopefully clear things up.
