And there's actually pretty big difference for me, ofc iOS have its own advantages over Android. But for me, phones get boring overtime, and instead of changing a whole phone i can just replace launcher,icons and i have completely different experience... Also no obvious file sharing between 2 platforms since Bluetooth is what it is on the iPhone... Also for many free apps on android if i want something similar in iOS i have to pay... but as I'm bored with android devices already, i might give a shot to next iPhone with design change, probably 14 even tho renders look like ugliest front of the phone world has ever seen 😂

        Now on Apple being greedy, I actually do agree with you. But they are no more or less greedy than the rest, they are just more successful at being greedy. I mean when was the last time you heard an Android oem say 'nah we're good, we don't need any more money thanks' ????

        As to how I use my phone, well pretty much the same as you it would seem. And you know what, since switching from Android to iOS, I haven't noticed that I've lost any of the functionality that was relevant to me. See you seem to think there is some great divide between the two OS's in terms of feature sets. Well agree to disagree on that, they have never been closer.

        Oh and finally, always on display yeah, I'll pass thanks. As I'm not always looking at display, I fail to see the need for it to always be on. The last few android devices I had that featured it, was always the first thing I turned off.
        But to each their own on that score.

I'm referring to all those things as Low cost to add within the price range... i get you don't need them... but really? Shouldn't customers get what's avaliable for premium price? And as i know for now, you're going to pay monthly subscription to IOS 16 ... that's fine... best thing in the world... spend 1000+ on phone than pay to use it... i mean that Apple isn't greedy at all.... and since you have hardware for aod it should be an option... on android i can set a time when i want my aod on or off ... if you work in office it does help a lot 😉 i was considering AOD unimportant till i had it... now it's a must have... even more important to me than let's say stereo speakers ....
          BUT, clearly we don't think the same way and don't use our phones the same way... for me phone isn't just a social network thing or gaming console... it's tool that i use to make my everyday life more convenient.... so this is my perspective on Apple right now.... idk i just think that iPhone is better for those social media beasts but everyone else should take android... you obviously appreciate what Apple does and while i do not.. still respect your opinion and anyone else's 👌

            Same reason why ECG was rolled out so slowly in countries other than US. It's not allowed in a lot of countries unless it gets required certifications.

                Since android 7 or so nothing big changed this is likely the same.
                They just copy and paste what android gives but dont bring anything new onto the table

And if you think the hardware associated with face ID is 'low cost' in comparison to a fingerprint scanner, then you are the one not being serious. I fell out of love with fingerprint scanners, the moment they put them under the display, a move intended to add wow factor, but came at a cost of reduced reliability.

                            Apple won't look to reintroduce touch ID till the under display tech at least matches the 'older' capacitive scanners for reliability. And there is no other way to say this, but right now, they don't.

                            And I care nothing for AOD as I'm not always looking at my display. Should Apple ever implement it, it's getting turned straight off.

                              Add support for more than 100 call logs entry, mark & delete call logs/contacts, full gesture support, ability to place cursor in middle of word, a fully fledged calculator app where i can see & edit complex expressions with support for history, edit entered number in dialer app.
                              Seriously fed up of this ios.
                              There are lot more non user friendly features, lack of user friendly features.

It's ok to prefer iOS or apple ecosystem, but lack of design change,slow charging and lack of fingerprint scanner are low cost hardware things for one of most expensive devices out there. Software wise, only thing that holds me back from apple is lack of AOD... i want to give it a try, but also to justify my decision. And if I'm buying apple, it would be pro max simply because I prefer big screens with great battery life, and that apple does great.
