Here's a detailed video hands-on of the Google Pixel 7a

Ivan, 05 May 2023

Following the teardown video of the Google Pixel 7a from earlier today, we now have a 16-minute video hands-on with the unannounced device.

The host of the clip claims this is a unit he bought and not a review unit. He goes about showing the phone from all angles and comparing it to the Pixel 6a and Pixel 7.

Curiously, the Pixel 7a has a flat display that's flush with the phone's frame - like the Pixel 7, unlike the curvier 6a.

The app Device Info HW estimates the display as 6.4"-6.5", though it's expected to be 6.1". The 1080x2400px resolution is spot on and the panel maxes out at 90Hz. The main camera snaps in 16MP resolution (binned down from 64MP), while the ultrawide is 13MP (though the phone weirdly finishes the images in 16MP). The selfie camera does 4K video as well.

The chipset is the Tensor G2 with 8GB of RAM.

Here's the full video.

bruh lmao What a stupid take! "An external dongle that takes extra space is better than having it integrated on my device, where that extra space wont be used for anything"
