Here's the first phone powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 should be launching in October as Qualcomm's new top of the line mobile chipset, and you may be wondering which phones will be the first to rock it.
According to a new leak by a usually reliable source, Xiaomi apparently has an exclusive deal with the chip maker to use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 first. Thus, the first two devices to use the new SoC will be the Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro.
They will be followed later on by the OnePlus 13 and the iQOO 13. While the exact order of release may have changed since last year, these are 'the usual suspects' based on history. The OnePlus 12, iQOO 12, Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro were also among the first to sport the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 when they got launched in China.
Global releases for the Xiaomi 15, OnePlus 13, and iQOO 13 may trail the Chinese launch by a few weeks as has become tradition, and keep in mind that the Xiaomi 14 Pro never got a global release, so the same might happen with its successor.

The need need to keep selling. No sales, no revenue. No revenue, no income. No income, no tax. No tax, government isn't happy.

True. Of course phone manufacturers like it that way, they can sell you same shit slightly improved again and again. Goverments need to get on their asses with that, just like they did with Apple and USB-C.
