By the way there was supposed to be a lower-cost refresh of this device for the US market possibly called HMD Fusion Neo (Project Raptor, TA-1702) with eMMC storage, but HMD quit the US market so it never launched.

This is an utter disappointment. They advertise a cheap phone with gaming capabilities, but this one struggles with the simplest tasks. It is far too weak.
The touch screen is abhorrent, the least accurate and hardest to use touch screen I've ever used. The cameras arent't great. One of the cameras has dust built up inside, even though i haven't been to a particularly dusty place or put my phone in the sand. The camera just isn't sealed properly. The screen is delaminating around the selfie cam.
I've had this phone for almost a year now and it just isn't what it's advertised to be. It's a cheap phone that is so bad, you can almost ignore the fact that it's self-repairable. It's not worth it.

I personally think hmd must have messed up the noise cancelling for the earpiece , and somehow routed it to all Speaker continuously .
Well that what it sounds like too me anyway .

App sizes randomly double (that is app size, not user or cache).

My local retailer had it at a chea... moreHey @Yandex450 , would I be correct in deducing that you bought this incorrectly RAM-described HMD Fusion phone from Argos in the UK? You wouldn't be the only who was missold this product. Many others were lead into believing Argos were selling the 6GB RAM version, when in fact the low-end 4GB was only being sold.
If my assumptions laid above are correct, you need to make a formal complaint under the Misrepresentation Act 1967.
Go on man, sue Argos, the barr stirreds.

HMD....wtf are u doing....just grap out that bloody hmd name from your phones..Nokia is in people's heart....also don't make a lot of phones with bloody specs..make 1 or2 ..maybe 3 for tear with different price segments....give atleast 4 software updates..or just get extinct like Nokia

1, the cpu has more than enough power for grown-up apps (banking, health care, store apps, navigation, and internet browsing), unless you're talking about piu pau video games.
2, two major android updates is pretty disappointing, but for me, security updates which I get for five years are more important. after that, I'm going to buy a new phone anyway
3, who says repairable phones need to be long lasting? maybe it’s for the kind of people who always manage to break their screens when they’re drunk or have butterfingers. now they can fix them themselves instead of going to a repair shop, which costs a lot more money.
4, and your samdung is bad. just kidding.

What kind of schedule is that in 2025? My current phone (yes, you can argue its a 650 samsung, do it. I wont care) for instance has 7. Repairable phones are supposed to have longevity in mind. This HMD does not offer that.

Funny how this is supposed to be a repairable phone but this would struggle after the 2nd major update thanks to its garbage update policy, and just as awful chipset for any longevity, which is one of the strengths of repairable phones. (4 Gen 2, under-powered.)
