Anonymous, 23 Apr 2024HMD went from Nokia 9 to thisNo one bought the Nokia 9, and to be honest it wasn't a big deal. It had 5 cameras that were underpowered compared to midrangers. I'm surprised how HMD is still in business if their phones don't sell good enough.

Honestly this doesn't seems any better than the Nokia phones maybe just a little step forward, in any case the only case in which I would ever recommend a Nokia/HMD phone is if someone is looking for a very basic cheap smartphone that can run daily apps and since these have a lighter version of stock Android they can run ok on these underpowered Unisoc chipsets.
If HMD moves away from stock Android and uses a heavier skin it would be a mistake.

Anthojay, 24 Apr 2024Are they still using stock android tho?We'll find out when reviews come out/when people share their experiences with the Pulse series - HMD didn't show anything related to the OS and the one article i found that showed the Pulse Pro in real life didn't show the front or any software at all.
But it's probably still stock Android/close to stock Android because i don't expect HMD to make a new skin for Android

What happened, first of all everything they are launching right now, the specifications that are not highlighted and at a high price make no sense. The truth is that they should not launch cell phones right now, they harm us in some way, environmental pollution

Lol "Pro" phone yet it has a Unisoc chipset and underwhelming specs.
It costs 180USD, for that price you can buy many second hand fully refurbished Flagship phones. The LG V60 ThinQ for example can be frequently seen around 175USD, you get a good SD865, a quad DAC audio system, IP68, good cameras and screen, wireless charging, etc etc. Im not saying that the V60 Thinq is the best alternative, its just an example how much value you are losing by buying this E-Waste HMD phone.

I really thought HMD’s rebrand meant they’d start making long lasting but affordable smartphones with no unnecessary gimmicks, but this looks genuinely horrible. Why does it have a chip that’s slower than an iPhone 7?
