Look guys, we have bots below posting scripted comments then immediately liking each others comments.
Who would pay 500USD for a 7sGen 2 phone with 4600mah battery and slow 33w charging, Fun fact!, the 7s Gen2 can barely outperform the old 778G.
They cant even round the corners. It looks sharp as well. Also, only IP54 rated at 500USD when you can find phones with IP64/IP65 or higher on cheaper phones like the A55 or Pocos.
You want a headphone jack yet the phone cant even output 24bit or 32bit 192khz or higher audio output. At that point, you might aswell use a wireless headphone.
The entire hardware in this phone is probably less than 250USD considering some phones have almost the same exact specs at that price point. They are charging you an additional 250USD because they know there are some desperate people out there that wants those small features.
For 500USD, you can buy a Samsung A55 then use the remaining money to buy a second hand LG V60 which has SD card AND Quad DAC audio if you want a wire headphone experience. Lmao

I love to carry my phone with a book case and all cards in one pockets and keys from home and work in others. Plus many else i actually needs like my charger and a Western digital elements 5TB 2,5 inch portable harddrive. And still have space to carry something more just in two front pockets.

I feel like they should have made the screen rectangular not just the frame, else the sharp frame is just for design with no added benefits

HMD are finally back. Sure, there are some choice compromises here: only 2 OS updates, Gorilla Glass 3 (hi Pixel 8a!), IP54 only, but the rest of the device seems pretty ideal for an upper mid-ranger and the user-repairable design and availability of parts is commendable. They need to enable bootloader unlock to make up for the poor update schedule.

Phone specs should include how long the company will support the device, as well as whether or not the bootloader is unlockable out of the box. That's like posting tire specs and intentionally leaving out the tread life.

I still can't believe we actually got something promising from HMD again. Nokia X30 was a good start but then 2023 happened and the entire Nokia lineup got demoted to low-end hardware (except for XR21).
And now with the Skyline finally getting released after an excruciatingly long period of teases and underwhelming, rushed launches i hope they'll keep making more interesting, ambitious devices that don't just rely on "We made the Nokias, now buy the HMD" to sell Unisoc T606 phones for €230
