Otherwise it is just an opportunity that HMD has missed. I'd say that having a hardware shutter button would have definitely enhanced Skyline's feature set.
    Oh and by the way, does the UI provide any option to hide that disgusting camera hole in the screen?

      Anonymous, 19 Jul 2024I wonder if the Custom Button on the left side can be used ... moreIt can be used to open the camera in your preferred mode, but not as a camera shutter button as far as I can tell. The button is very customisable, you can set it to system actions (e.g., turn on torch, take a screenshot) or per app actions (e.g., navigate to Home in Google Maps, open a contact in WhatsApp, record an activity in Strava). You can map the power button in the exact same way too.

          I wonder if the Custom Button on the left side can be used to launch a camera app and take shots (just like on Sony's smartphones).

            Very nice phone when will be around 300-350€. I still have my Lumia 735 btw 🙊

              At $544 this is one of the worst phones on the market.

                                Other than having a notch, which isn't a deal breaker, this phone looks great. Assuming the bootloader can be unlocked this is my next phone

                                  To be honest, this looks really good. But the 2 years of android updates are a joke especially with this phone. They are giving you the option to repair this phone by yourself to keep it longer and not buy a new phone, but in that case you are going to stuck with an outdated system... Wtf...

                                    6.55 inch, 33w charging + wireless charging, mid-tier SD chip, ip54, resemblence of nothing phone 1 when they started. CMF phone has change of back cover. HMD is following the footsteps of nothing products with a touch of their own on the camera department,storage and more replaceable parts. I hope they can come up with a proper software. Personally I'd go for this.

                                      So they have made phone with Nokia N9/Lumia 920 kinda design at front but messed it completely with camera placement at the back. They went with classic box layout at top left corner with cameras and flashes like every other phone

                                      Such a let down. Lumia X20 series had excellent back design for every single model except Lumia 520.
