Very strange marketing.
You can change the battery, but only three years of security updates (from the release date). Then why have such an option? most likely, the battery will still be ok in less than three years' time. In time when digital security is becoming top priority, it is not too wise to have phone without updates.
The possibility of changing the screen is nice, but only if you can get a spare one in days.

There's a new China phone released every 7,2 seconds. I am looking forward to a review, also I would like to see how easy it is to remove the back cover.

From the back it looks like a note20 ultra clone. From the front with the screen switched off it still looks like a Note20 Ultra clone. If you turn the screen on it looks like a foldable phone's outer display. What happened here lol

It's bad, the CPU is worse than S21 which is almost 4 years old phone at this point, same with comparing GPU's power, it's quite bad on this device. The reason I mention it, is because, even though it will offer 2 mayor Android updates, these weak components will bottle-neck it quite fast, just as is with most older gen Nokia Android phones. Love them, and this one is handsome, a bit weird screen w/frame design but handsome non the less and the IP rating with replicable parts is super nice, but still, if anyone wants a long term phone, which this is trying to be, it shouldn't come with such weak chipset, otherwise, considering it's rest of setup, it would definitely be capable of lasting the golden 4-5 year use.

I just found out that this is the only Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 smartphone that has microSD card slot. This could be the midrange phone to look out for in 2024.

The company isn't backed by a large conglomerate, so their business is to make a profit first above all. The smartphone business is especially hard for small companies to survive.

Take 9 phones of the 450-500 euro price range, put them side by side on a table, then add an HMD Skyline, and you'll see one distinctive phone among the 10 phones and it'll be the HMD, the other 9 are generic siblings.
It should have been a Nokia, no doubt. Also they should have done this years ago instead of the generic phones they came up with, and refine the design even further.
But kudos to HMD to bring this phone, because it sure stands out from the rest.

With a quality IPS LCD display, a better Dimensity chipset, a higher IP rating and a 200 euros lower price tag, this would still have the potential to attract some crowds (especially those who got bored of Samsung, Apple and Chinese manufacturer hegemonia), in Europe at least. But this is impossible the way it is now.

I already mentioned the dimensions and weight in a previous post, but it's not added yet. So again: 159.8 x 75.6 x 8.9 mm and the weight is 209,5 gr.
