For a phone that's made to be used longer (replacable battery and usb port etc). You'd expect it to have at least 3 os updates and 4 years of security ones. But it has only 2 os and 3 for security?? That's just dumb.

Not buy because its pink and bootloader not unlockable. Having headphone jack and microSD is welcoming, well done, but why not allow unlock bootloader?
And why on earth is this pink??? They literally made their best phone unsellable to most!

how many complaints haha if you want it, just wait for black friday and the price will drop if they sell it for 450 and a good advertising campaign they will sell like hot cakes... the sand black color doesn't look bad

This is almost perfect.
Big props for the SD Card and 3.5mm jack additions.
The DIY repairable features such as the battery are nice.
It should be able to power a DAC, and with the repairable USB port it could be nice for music.
If they would have added USB 3.0 or above I would purchase it right now.
It looks like it works on all of the Verizon bands in my area.
The only other phone that comes close is the Sony Xperia, but they have quality control issues.
Not to mention Sony seems to have pulled out of the US.

Anonymous, 18 Jul 202450MP AF selfie camera is useless if it can't shoot 4K video.I wouldn't be surprised regarding how they'd implement 4K recording on the front camera, as all of their 4K supported phones feature 4K recording on the front camera as well.
If they ditch the handy wireless FM radio with this phone, then it would be disappointing for an otherwise decent (but not exceptional) package.

Otherwise it is just an opportunity that HMD has missed. I'd say that having a hardware shutter button would have definitely enhanced Skyline's feature set.
Oh and by the way, does the UI provide any option to hide that disgusting camera hole in the screen?

The button is very customisable, you can set it to system actions (e.g., turn on torch, take a screenshot) or per app actions (e.g., navigate to Home in Google Maps, open a contact in WhatsApp, record an activity in Strava). You can map the power button in the exact same way too.
