HMD Skyline to arrive in July, price leaks
HMD's next own-brand smartphone will be called Skyline, according to a new report from the company's home of Finland. The Skyline is said to make its debut in July, as it's apparently due to appear in stock at one Finnish retailer on July 10.
This will be higher-end than what we've recently been used to from the HMD and Nokia brands, as it will allegedly retail for €520. It will be offered with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage in black, and it will unsurprisingly have dual-SIM support. Its model number is TA-1688.
HMD Pulse ProWhile no more details about it have been leaked this time around, it's quite likely that this is the device previously known by the codename Tomcat. If so, then the Skyline should have an FHD+ OLED touchscreen with 120 Hz refresh rate, and the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 SoC will be powering it.
On the rear there will be three cameras (108 MP main, 8 MP most likely ultrawide, 2 MP macro or depth sensor), and for selfies a 32 MP snapper will be employed. The handset is expected to sport a 4,900 mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging. It will be IP67 certified for dust and water resistance, and will run Android 14 from day one. It has an under-display fingerprint sensor as well as stereo speakers too.
A different device coming soon is codenamed Nighthawk, and this one should be under €300. It's rumored to have an FHD+ OLED screen with 120 Hz refresh rate too, but this will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 SoC, paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of storage, depending on which version you go for.
It has a 108 MP main camera too, but only one additional snapper on the back, and seemingly the same 32 MP selfie shooter as the Skyline. This one gets a 5,000 mAh battery however, and a headphone jack. It too will run Android 14 and will have stereo speakers.
