Re; memory ,my 5TB hard drive failed last week so how much do we need to back up? do we back up our hard drive to a hard drive, then back up that hard drive then back up that hard drive? What if google photos loose your data? I have had multiple sandisk memory card failure so how do we preserve our memories. Music can be got again but photos videos are irreplaceable from pis/vids of children to going to favourite concert all gone so how do we preserve if everything can fail?

And it's not true that both will be destroyed. In fact SD cards are very durable, and often recoverable even after days at seawater. As for internal memory - it's a very different case. Any contact with water - and it's gone. Recovery is super expensive - first you need to buy identical device, then memory chips need to be re-soldered, and even then chances of success are slim. I have already experienced this with Samsung Active after going on kayaking trip (suposedly waterproof but apparently not to sea water), so lesson learned here. Phone was irrepairable by the way, and SD card was totally fine.

Also if u r saying that u will recover from sdcard then it isn't necessary that all of ur data will only be on SD card

Secon... moreRegarding sd card you can have those concerns but it is not that bad cause internal memory is always faster than sd card and more durable. What will you do with a dead sdcard? 128 gb is quite a lot(talking about uk version) for the price you pay. Also you can always use a cloud service as a backup, not preferable all the time when intimate data is the subject in discution but in other circumstances is ok. That is my opinion others can feel different

Not sure about this upgrade. First, 5.84" is too big. Second, the lack of microSD is a major letdown! This was Huawei's selling point over iPhones, next to price of course. Anyone who has dropped the phone in the sea would know you only recover stuff from the SD card and not the phone. At 128GB - that's a lot at risk. I am with Honor 8, but Honor 9 looks more like an upgrade to me than 10 because of this.

Honor/Huawei, i think at the moment ur phones are top notch, just few things i wish from the company, make a compact high end phone (just like sony), and please make dual front facing speakers from now onwards,
So difficult to find high end phone with dual front facing speaker, guess only sony does that
