Anonymous, 02 May 2018does it matter?Oh course, it is essential in current high-end flagships. Once u have eMMC 5.1 in a high-end flagship in 2018, u are out of the game, bye bye. Because UFS storage is purely superior to eMMC storage; a constant read and write speeds of ~800MB/s and ~150MB/s respectively for the UFS 2.1, as compared to ~300MB/s and ~100MB/s respectively for eMMC 5.1 storage. Of course, advantages would be better performance, for example better load times most noticeably on games, reading the game's data to help it render faster. Games like PUBG currently require a lot of horsepower to play the game, eMMC 5.1 is still playable, but it stutters because it ain't able to read as fast as the UFS 2.1 storage found on eg. GALAXY S9

This is going to be my next phone, should be for an ideal price and when I saw and used my mates P20, I preferred the notch giving the extra space when compared to hiding the notch. Plus the rumoured price of around £400 would be exquisite.

NOOB KILLERxD you wrong,
same kirin 970 in the P20 as well
the reason is:
- might not using the same premium materials ( in this case neither the P20 using premium material as no Gorilla Glass protection )
- different quality of RAM/ROM ( not as fast as the premium category )
- No Leica branding
- might have different LCD panels which not as bright or not as colorful like the top of the line phones
because of these cost the phone cost $200 - $300 less.

This phone must be having a great... moreOk I've used the phone for a few days now and I can now report that the battery life is not great, its not bad but not great. watching youtube on wifi would keep the phone running for around 4 to 5 hours. you will definitely need to charge the phone before the day is over. If you are however a moderate user you wont have any issues running the phone until the day ends.

Definitely UFS but that would work just as horrible as eMMC.
The honor View 10 proved it. It can't even play a 4k video for 20sec without strucks. It is again an UFS with about 900Mb/s read and 300MB/s write speeds. I dont understand where honor has created this issue in the software
