Honor 10 to launch in India on May 15 exclusively on Flipkart

Ro, 05 May 2018

Even though the Honor 10 was announced last month in China, the rest of the world is still waiting for the official release. Well, the wait is over. Flipkart just confirmed it will exclusively offer the handset starting May 15. This is also the date for the European launch in London.

As far as pricing goes, the device is expected to go for about 35,000 INR ($523). That's the asking price for the 128GB model, which will be the only version available in India. The 64GB version is for the rest of the world, it seems at this point.

Luckily, we already know what to expect for that price thanks to the official unveiling in China. The Honor 10 is powered by a Kirin 970 chipset (also used in Huawei P20) paired with 6GB of RAM and Android Oreo 8.1 with Huawei's own EMUI on top.

The display sports an iPhone X-like notch on the top and the fingerprint sensor sits below it. Measuring 5.84" in diagonal with 19:9 aspect ratio, the IPS panel will offer 1080 x 2280 pixels resolution. The 3,400 mAh battery will support 4.5A fast charge over USB-C.

The camera setup consists of a 16MP color sensor with f/1.8 aperture and a 24MP black and white imager with f/2.0 lens.

The available colors will be Mirage Purple, Mirage Blue, Black and Grey.

As for EIS, no company offered that as an update if the phone didn't come with it already at release. Also Huawei/Honor never updated minor iterations of Android on their non-premium phones, if people bought thinking they would it's their own fault f...
