Honor 20 is better in performance and camera. Samsung A31 has AMOLED and slightly bigger screen, also higher capacity battery. It comes down to what is more important to you? Do you want a faster phone with better picture and video? or bigger screen and a bit longer battery life ( Honor 20's battery life is still not bad ). I personally will pick Honor 20 over Samsung A31 because of faster performance and better camera is more important to me.

Just got the honor 20, not a bad phone. In New Zealand it's called the Nova 5T.

I noticed that when I'm using the default USB type c audio toggle provided by honor, the music sound quality is so bad, have to max out the volume rocker....My previous honor 8 pro is much better in terms of sound quality.Btw the device still running on Android pie, I haven't update it to Android 10 yet...

Mi 9 Lite is quite better as it has an awesome AMOLED display which lets you to have pleasant viewing experience and better battery life.

2) Mi 9 Lite
3) Honor 9X Pro

Indian Owner of Honor 20.
Pros:
* Excellent Camera
* Very Good Performance, flagship grade processor.
* Very good build quality. There are few in ~23k budget which come with aluminium frame and solid construction. While most these days are plastic cheap build from likes of mi, sammy and realme.
* Good bezel less design not too big just adequate.
* Lightning fast finger print sensor accurate too and to me best placement.
* It will support most global LTE bands especially usa in case you are traveling.
Cons:
*Display as expected can't be better than Amoled ones.
* I don't like color and shining pattern but that's subjective.
* No Vowifi calling yet.
Special Mention:-
** I was doubtful of getting android 10, but got it on day one update!!
** I was skeptical that office outlook setup won't work as mine office client is usa based but it did in unique way.
There is a separate office mode which has separate Google services and other basic stuff.
Battery backup and charging speed is neither pros nor a Con but above average.
