Honor 200 Pro review
Introduction
The Honor 200 trio was first launched in China a while back but we are now welcoming the Honor 200 and Honor 200 Pro to the global markets in addition to the already announced Honor 200 Lite. Today, we have the Honor 200 Pro for review, a phone that looks too good to be kept as a China exclusive.
The Honor 200 Pro comes just six months after the Honor 100 Pro, which came just six months after the 90 Pro. Here, in Europe, Honor had just the vanilla Honor 90 available so the 200 Pro should be a meaningful update.
The new Honor 200 Pro arrives with a new chipset, a brighter display, and new sensors for the primary and telephoto cameras. It also features IP65 rating for dust and splash resistance.
Honor 200 Pro packs a premium 6.78-inch OLED panel of 1224p resolution, 1B colors, 120Hz refresh rate and a small pill-shaped notch. The phone runs on the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chip with plenty of RAM and storage.
The camera kit is the most interesting aspect of the Honor 200 Pro, of course. There are three imagers on the back - a 50MP primary with a new custom large sensor, a 50MP 2.5x telephoto and a 12MP AF ultrawide. Portrait selfies are very much important for Honor, too, and that is why the front setup contains a 50MP camera with a 2MP depth sensor.
The all-round specs sheet becomes complete with a 5,200mAh battery capable of 100W wired, 66W wireless and even reverse wireless charging.

Both Honor 90 Pro and 100 Pro employed the latest most powerful chipset by Qualcomm, while the 200 Pro comes with a more streamlined "s" version of Gen 3. It surely is odd, especially considering that the 8s Gen 3 should be less powerful than the 8 Gen 2 inside the Honor 100 Pro. We will explore this in our performance section, of course.
Other than this peculiarity, we feel like nothing is really missing on this phone. Let's unbox it now!

Just a bit of information missing from both the specs sheet and review - honor also does wireless desktop thing, same as samsung Dex and moto ready for... Looks pretty much identical to former, basically windows 10 on your TV screen.
