my honor 4x mobile is also having same contact list issue from yesterday(09/12). today i have contacted the huawei live chat help center. they asked me to upgrade the version to
lollipop. blw the instruction fyr.
i will try this later and let u know if all ok.

* Software > download Honor 4X-Second Android L
* Unzip the zip file
* Open "Software" folder and copy "dload" folder

* Installing starts automatically

My contacts have gone blank today..it says contacts updating for more than past 2 hours..wondering if this is going to ever update..any solutions ?

Contacts and Messages are gone, can't see them. Maybe because of my thick glasses.

Cannot view both contacts and message contents. Even backup by Hi-Suite didn't find any contacts. Need help.....

Guys, Help me i bought Huawei Honor 4x before a month it was working amazing, suddenly form today morning onwards can't able to see my contacts, messages & call logs, but am able to see true caller but cant open, kindly help me out form this!!

I am facing same issue of Contacts , Msg threads and Call Log going blank.
Tried factory reset also but no success.

Manoj, 08 Dec 2015Even I'm facing the same problem of the contacts being upda... moreManoj, did the reset 2x already but still failed. I finally brought my phone to Huawei's authorized service center. They said they will have to diagnose the phone what's causing the problem and might need to reset the phone using the computer.

guys after lollipop update phn will look amazing but the main drawback is camera got a bug tat will reduce the picture quality below average.....no way to downgrade even.... huawei should lookon that immediately....

It was doing good and very fast but recently 4 days ago something happened lost all my contacts, call logs and messages. Tried rebooting and clearing the cache but still the same problem. Was forced to reset my phone to factory setting but the problem still persist. I did the factory setting 2x but only after a few hours the problem crops up again. The first time a backed-up my data using Huawei's built-in Backup App it was successful but the second time around it failed. Then I tried installing 3rd party back-up app the back-up process was not successful too but I managed to back-up successfully after performing the factory reset then restored the Huawei back-up then I backed it up with the Super Backup App. Took videos of the whole process and I'll share it in YouTube.
