Unfortunately had to buy a phone just before MWC, cause my old galaxy core has crapped the bed on call quality and battery life, so without a back up just phone and music device, I needed a proper device and fast. Nougat better drop on this phone, otherwise its perfect for the 160 I payed for. Fast running apps, ample amouny of ram always available, and the scrolling feels as smooth as a reliable snapdragon. EMUI is surprisingly better then I thought, and the lack of an app drawer is not so jarring as imagined. Only thing is if you want some punc to your music, power amp is the better option then Huawei's music app. Camera quality is something I can't be bothered with, but I guess its acceptable. Still sucks that I couldn't hold out long enough to buy a phone after the conference.

I have been using this phone over a year. I was originally trying to find a cheap phone that could run as good as the top phones, my brother recommended the honor 4C I was going to buy it off Amazon, but out of curiosity I searched for similar phones, in my search I found that the 5C wasn't that much more expensive than the 4C but the 5C was a absolute beast in terms of hardware.
Fast forward a year my brother has also bought the same phone (different colour) and is ana loving it. it runs flawlessly still and has a camera as good as (if not better) than the iPhone. it is by no means a phone for people who like to do extreme gaming, but if you enjoy a balanced experience, e.g. a bit of gaming, as well as watching videos and working on documents it is very good.
I would highly the Honor 5C as it is going to save you a lot more money and will definitely save you a lot more grief.

If you put in on a desk or table it's fine. It has a metal border around it.

I bought this phone a month ago. Good in every aspect but I'm always afraid that my camera would get scratched, i put on a back cover as well but still not enough satisfied.. Solid camera, fingerprint sensor is amazing and the inbuilt applock makes it feel like an i phone cause we dont have to app locks through a third party application, it doesn't support fast charging but it gets fully charged in 2 hour and maybe 20 minutes more which i feel fair, no heating.. A quality product

Using this device since 1 week.everything is perfect except poor video playback. Video with low resolution tends to hav too much noise but no problem with hd one. And overall battery is superb..

Awesome phone. I just went from a Nexus 6P to this and it beats the 6P in almost everything. It's a bit laggy by default but if you turn off the animation in developer settings it runs faster. Battery is great, camera is good quality with some handy effects. Great size, nice and light. EMUI works just as good if not better than stock android software.

Does Honor 5C have VoLTE supported hardware? And will Huawei enable VoLTE in the Nougat update for this? I got this for my dad this week without knowing it doesn't support calls on JIO. I will put a request for refund if it will never get VoLTE update.

Design and materials are very good for the price. It's manufactured with some sort of screen protector, no gorilla glass unfortunately. Battery is all right. I have 52% battery after 24 hours from full charge, with low to moderate use, but with mobile data disconnected when I wasn't using the internet, no wi-fi, screen luminosity set to auto, and I also disabled some apps.
