I don't know about G8 as i have not used that phone, but i have Honor 7 and i can say that for the 3 requirements you have mentioned here this phone is good in all of them. But i would also like to mention a few little things that i have noticed from using this phone
1) The smart key on the right side can sometimes become a hassle if you have set it to open an app on "one press" . You will many times accidentally hit that button , if not careful, so it gets annoying sometimes.
2) The notification LED is not very bright and you sometimes not even notice it also when charging it will not blink or change color if you get a notification.
3) This is one is nitpicking but when you try to release ram by swiping up to clear the apps it will most of the times not work and you will have to place your finger in a specific location to do it.
Apart from that this phone is great and almost everything else can be found in it's review. Oh and i haven't received the Marshmallow update yet (Saudi Arabia). So depends where you are located. Hope i was helpful.
