I really value your work and opinions, so I have to ask.
I'm planning to buy a new phone and I'm considering Oneplus 3T and Honor 8.
What's important to me is good battery life, fast multitasking, good sound quality on headphones and relatively good camera performance.
Software updates and build quality will be an asset.
I'm planning my budget for ~400-450USD.
Please, help me and thanks for your work!

Hina, 21 Nov 2016I like honor 8 but it does not have home button like samsun... moreHi Hina to wake up honor 8 use fingerprint sensor on back its the fast and easiest way to turn on the phone and ur phone will be secured also .so theres no need to press any physical button or to use any other apps.hope this helps

I like honor 8 but it does not have home button like samsung devices, can you tell me does it have double tap to wake up feature like motorola devices?? .... right now I am using huawei ascend P7 I am quiet happy with it but one thing I really hate about it is that it does not have home button also no double tap to wake up feature, I mean whenever I need to use phone I have to go to the upper side of the phone & press the (power on)button ....& that's really annoying.... so please tell me does honor 8 have double tap to wake up display/screen feature...?? !!!

AnonD-607673, 07 Nov 2016Bro..its single sim support.... Not dual simI use the Honor 8 as my main phone in the UK. It's a wonderful phone and I strongly recommend it.
Battery life is very good. Today I've been using the phone for 18 hours since its last charge and it still has 22% battery left at 1.30am (much better than Samsung s7 for example.) The signal on the phone is extremely good, getting reception where many phones can't. The phone is fast, running all apps superbly. It has a USB type c charger port (much more reliable than micro-usb) and charges extremely quickly. The screen is excellent. The build quality is superb, BUT the handset is extremely slippery and I found I needed a protective case with a nice grip to make it feel comfortable in my hand. The Huawei EMUI user interface is okay, but I much prefer using Google Now or Nova instead and these can be downloaded for free. The camera quality is very very good using the twin cameras from the Huawei p9. The camera doesn't have optical image stabilisation, but this isn't a problem as the dual lens system allows much more light capture than a normal phone, meaning faster shutter speeds in low light, meaning good low light imagery without stabilisation. The phone currently costs about half the price of a Samsung s7 and is (in my opinion) just as good as it. It has the huge bonus of having an infrared blaster (which the s7 dropped!) meaning you can control your TV etc with it. Sadly the Honor 8 isn't waterproof unlike some other leading phones. Overall it's a superb device, and I would recommend it thoroughly.
