HarmonyOS 2.0 6th phase beta recruitment and Honor 8X is in the list of this testing phase. The recruitment will remain open until September 22. Thereafter, the Honor 8X users will be able to upgrade or receive HarmonyOS 2.0 test build

This information has been confirmed by the customer representative but we’ll have to wait for more information on this matter.

Does anyone know if this is the case? Ive contacted Huawei Customer Services Uk twice, one response says 'we certainly will receive the update and it is rolled out in batches, so hopefully in the next few weeks'
Yet another response said 'I am sorry to inform you that the Honor 8X may not be getting the EMUI 12 update, but please stay tuned for updates'
Can anyone elaborate?

It's 3.5 years of no complains. Still works well. Battery with heavy business use with all options enabled gives last more than 24 hrs usage. My next phone will be Honor 50. It's like the Nokia of past decade.

3 and half years and still working beautifully. Battery longer than a day even after 3.5 years. dropped many time, used it very roughly. Must say this is best budget phone with very competitive specs.

you should have left it to dry completely for two to three days, because from my experience my Honor 8x was in a whirlpool of water, mud, for an hour, so when I found it it still worked but I turned it off and I beat it on the towel to make water droplets come out of the headphone jack and then
left 1 day in the rice and two more days to dry completely, here and today works wonderfully.
