maguvu, 15 Oct 2018Do you even know how to differentiate 2.4ghz from 5ghz ?The primary difference between the 2.4 GHz and 5GHz wireless frequencies is range as the 2.4GHz frequency is able to reach farther than the 5GHz frequency. This is a result of the basic characteristics that waves attenuate much faster at higher frequencies. So if you are more concerned with the coverage, you should select 2.4GHz rather than 5GHz.

The 2.4GHz frequency is way more crowded than 5GHz, devices on 2.4GHz suffer much more interference than the ones on 5GHz.
Fewer devices are capable of using the 5GHz channel than the 2.4GHz channel.

Can someone enlighten me on this...the 8X sports not only one but 2 cameras but doesn't support 2160p vid recording while the Play can? Also in another comparison, my Note 4 can record 2160p vids and this one can't?

Almost identical spec with Nova 3i. I differences I identified is:-
1. Front Camera for 8x is 1 only while 3i is 2.
2. Battery for 8x is 3,750mAh while 3i is 3,340mAh.
3. 6.5" screen for 8x vs 6.3" screen for Nova 3i.
However, the price for 8x is 24% cheaper than 3i in my country. So it is definitely a good buy for 8x.

8x has no 5ghz wifi in reality, despite the spec sheet saying it has wifi a/b/g/n/ac. I bought one the other day and I am holding the phone right now. It can connect to wifi no doubt, but only at 2.4ghz. I know because my router has different ssids for my 2.4ghz and 5ghz bands.
To those who say it has 5ghz, how do you know you are connected to 5ghz, or do you even know how to differentiate 2.4ghz from 5ghz.
