Help me to decide plssss.Honor play just because better and higher-end chip set which can handle future software updates flawlessly, better battery, good camera, you won't find heating or lagging problem due to optimised Chipset with incorporated software technologies,
8X can also perform same but Chipset will make a huge huge difference, software updates you'll get even for 8X but phone Chipset won't support then you'll find lags heating issues all other problem
So it's better go for Honor play

Good news that it is not a fake hybrid.For lack of NFC,IR,and Bluetooth 5 .1 and its auxiliariesand USB 3.1 and OTG , for $200 price fairly it is excellent as it is a midrange ! Hopefully Huawei through ota can sent repair patches to make it the highest midrange ,then I call the other 8X with the 5000 mah battery the best midrange of 2018-19 undoubtedly.Good deed Huawei and fact-writing gsmArena!!Not cooperation in exchange of knowledge yet by Huawei makes me not optimistic....
