I've had this phone for about a month now and I love it. ... morePlease tell me, how is batteri drain? I hear A LOT of people are having problems with battery drain of this smartphone. Is it true? I plan to play a lot of games (like DraStic emulator games) and I am concerned the battery could be shit?
Also, I´ve heard that since it has a glass unibody, heat dissipation might not be good, since glass is not a good condictor of heat like metal?
Please answer.

If you want one of the best overall experiences for $200 (big decent screen, relatively compact, good looking and so on) it's one of the best phones for now. If youre looking specifically at something like best camera or best gaming for that money, some flagship of 2 years ago like the Mi5 or Honor 8 might be a better pick if you find a sweet deal.

And those "flagship specs" of 1-2 years ago should noe be considered as "basic" and a necessity and not anymore of the luxury/premium type?

M and M, 27 Mar 2018Well, that's what I usually do: buy new flagships of 2 year... moreBuying an old 1-2 year old flagship in 2018 is probably better than getting a good mid-ranger these days coz you have to look at the specs, consider your price range, etc. Technology grows really fast that you can't anymore keep up.
yes for under £200/€200 I can get a Mi A1 vs the 9 Lite coz of faster updates. The issue with Xiaomi's Android One phone is it is getting older too, audio in video recording is atrociously robotic and hate the in-built nav buttons setup which is similar to Samsung of old.And besides the Mi A1 is not officially available on Europe (only in online shops) so support for 4G bands and frequencies (and updates) will be at least choppy.

I've had this phone for about a month now and I love it. It keeps up with everything I throw at it. The reception on it is better than my old LG G5 and way better than the Nokia 6 which I had to return...in my house, the Nokia 6 couldn't hold a signal at all, it drove me nuts.
One feature of the Honor 9 lite that I love is its ability to switch off at a set time, then switch itself back on for the alarm.
Another nice touch was the phone came with it's own plastic clear case, so it's protected right away, just as well, because otherwise the back cover would be smudged with finger prints all the time.
One thing about the colour - I have the blue one and by the time it's put in it's case, it's quite a dark blue. Even without the case, it's still darker than you would think looking at the pictures of it on the net.
I've always bought flagships phones in the past and I'll never do so again. The crazy thing is that budget phone can hold it's own against phones way more expensive.
Buy it. You won't regret it.

I have Honor 9 Lite known as Huawei Nova 2 Lite (Philippines) well its 5.99 inch 18:1 ratio full screen and this is not HiSilicon Kirin, its Snapdragon 430, 3gb ram only.

But again don't get me wrong. The 16nm SoC process, having a compass, Cat6 LTE, big 5.6" is all but good.
Turn-offs such as microUSB port, questionable history of screen tech (especially with Honor), history of camera issues (poor low-light, no video stabilization, unnatural photos, etc.), questionable performance (because of a bloated software) and questionable update prioritisation is too hard not to avoid.
