Is there any way to update the android or it's webview ?
Due to Android 9 and dated Android Webview,many apps are refusing to work .
And ,we can't update Android Webview to other Chrome Webview and Huawei Webview latest update requires Android 10 😅

It is a great phone by itself and EMUI 9 over Android 9 is very well optimized for the international version. I admit it is not my primary phone but I still love it as its kinda unique.

Huawei sold this phone at very thin margin, atleast in India. So naturally when a model gets sold at very thin margins, OS upgrades are a big no no as the model could not bear the cost.
Chinese OS versions have many things included in the OS, many back door required by their laws. However any manufacturer have to invest in software developers so that they can make an international variant, accepted by laws of other countries.

HONOR 9X pro of chinese version got HM OS 2.0 even a single major update is not pushed for HLK L42 after it release.
