I use phones thrice its price as my primary device, but I still love 9X Pro for its uniqueness.

      HONOR 9X PRO (HLK-L42) Global version...
      This is the only phone in the world at all times that has not received even an Android update...
      When will update #android & #EMUI 10&11&12 OR   #HarmonyOS  for #HONOR9Xpro (HLK-L42) Global version ?????
      The first mobile phone HONOR that has not even received an Android update...

        On the past, devices under Huawei name had better build quality than Honor.

        Then, Why's that this one has (Metal Frames+Glass back) over P40lite(Plastic back+frames) i.e. Better build quality, higher storage but losing in 33w charge, macro to P40 lite.

            Got the September Monthly Patch ✌️

              Jay1977efc, 23 Oct 2021Why would it stand for Hulk 🙄The guy is pissed of as his Honor 9X Pro (Global variant) have not been upgraded to Android 10 leave alone Android 11.

              My 9X Pro is standing with Android 9 with July 2021 security patch with no further updates. So this is 2 years of security patched from release date. Which is what I think we will get.

              The phone have never been commercially successful globally due to the lack of GMS support after US trade ban. Hence Huawei/Honor have sell them at almost zero profit margin. The hardware part is superb with HiSilicon Kirin 810 & 6GB LPDDR4x RAM. As this model garnered almost no profit globally, updating the Android which costs a lot of money does not make sence.

              One has to understand Honor 9X Pro is a project of Huawei. A the project needs to bring in money so as to be further enhanced and provide more software updates.

                  Can anyone find custom rom?

                    i have this good phone but banned by Google and the huawei banned Iran then can't use this phone well and can't find custom Rom all way to install Google play services tested but now not working I am very sad

                        I may be wrong but does HLK stands for 'HULK'?
                        Also, Is it correct to call it Huawei HLK-L42 OR HONOR HLK-L42?

                          Received a 104 MB FOTA update containing Jul, 2021 Android security patch. After latest update:

                          Model: HLK-L42
                          Android Version: 9
                          Android security patch level: 01-Jul-2021
                          EMUI Version: 9.1.1
                          Build Number: 9.1.1.234 (C675E5R1P1)

                          I have left the hope oo this phone of receiving any new Android version upgrades.

                                      June 2021 security patch..
                                      Loaded play store previously..
                                      But incomplete google service, google translate snap & scan not working, instant scan work thou..
                                      How nice if it gain official GMS service...😬😬

                                        The phone was released back in Aug, 2019 which is exactly 2 years from now. Hope this is not the last update as major Chinese manufacturers stop giving updates only after 3 years.
