The Honor Band 5 was unveiled back in July and now the company announced a new version dubbed the Honor Band 5i. It’s a slightly cheaper alternative with a mostly unchanged design, save for a built-in USB-A charging connector housed in the silicone strap. This means you don’t need a special charging adapter or cable as you can simply plug in the Band 5i to any regular USB-A port.

The TFT color display of the Band 5i comes in at 0.96 inches with a 160x80px resolution and can display up to 30 characters for notifications. In terms of fitness tracking the Band 5i supports all the modes from the Honor Band 5, including heart rate measurements and a SpO2 sensor for blood oxygen levels. The band is also water-resistant up to 50 meters.

In terms of connectivity, you get Bluetooth 4.2 but NFC is missing. Battery life is estimated to be 7-9 days depending on usage patterns. The Band 5i can sync with any Android 4.4 and iOS 9.0 and above device.
