Samsung Galaxy S25 FE might get a more exciting chipset after all

Vlad, 10 May 2025

Samsung's Galaxy S24 FE was released in October, and we've already heard rumors that the company is working on its successor, the S25 FE. This was initially said to come with the Exynos 2400e chipset, which is the exact same one used in the S24 FE. Needless to say, this might have turned quite a few people off the new device.

Interestingly, a new rumor today claims Samsung may go a different way after all, turning to MediaTek's Dimensity 9400 SoC instead. However, don't pop the bubbly just yet - the Exynos 2400e apparently remains Samsung's first choice.

It will only resort to switching to the Dimensity 9400 if Samsung's foundry can't make enough Exynos 2400e chips. While we would all undoubtedly love to see the Dimensity 9400 in the S25 FE, as its performance is much better, Samsung understandably would rather use its own chip, which is cheaper for it.

Unfortunately, the S25 FE is said to offer little in the way of any other upgrades compared to its predecessor, so the chipset switch could at least drive sales somewhat. Anyway, we're sure we'll hear more about this in the future as we're still many months away from the S25 FE's launch, so stay tuned.

That s23 fe was only exclusive to the U.S market. Meaning in the intetnational market or rather for the rest of the places, its using an Exynos 2200. I know because I have one. Which is a whole lot worse.
