I can make the issue happen with a different browser running or not with chrome disabled and uninstalled. It is a issue with the phone simple. I have even factory reset the phone and tried it making sure chrome is uninstalled and samsung browser as the default and only browser with it not running in background.

Nemo, 21 May 2023What if it still does it if nothing is running and the back... moreIf you don't disable chrome and replace it with another browser ( it's allways running in the background) it makes some apps stutter you can Google Chrome browser stutter it's a known thing... As I keep saying if you did not disable chrome on your Honor Magic 5 Pro it will make some apps stutter in this case the YouTube App ...as I keep saying chrome is allways running in the background even if your not using it ... Chrome is the problem.... I don't think you did disable chrome and replace it with another browser if you did the YouTube app would not stutter 👍🏻 maybe you should of tested what I'm saying before sending the phone back . You can't completely stop chrome running in the background on any android phone even my Samsung internet browser runs in background but does make apps stutter.. that's why I disabled chrome from day one and relaced it

Nemo, 21 May 2023So you’re comparing a phone that’s nowhere near as popular ... moreThe reason I know this as I said before my S20 ultra and S21 ultra came with the chrome browser and did the same thing some apps would stutter as chrome is running in background.. as soon as I disabled chrome on both phones and used the Samsung internet browser instead all stuttering stopped on all the apps that were .. so I did the same on my Honor Magic 5 Pro as soon as I got it disabled chrome and loaded up the Samsung internet browser and have no stutter on any apps or browsing 👍🏻 phone works perfectly ... Chrome running in the background is making the YouTube App Stutter 👍🏻 it's got nothing to do with the software... Chrome running in the background is the problem that makes some Apps stutter 👍🏻

Nemo, 21 May 2023So you’re comparing a phone that’s nowhere near as popular ... moreUnless you disabled chrome in your Honor magic 5 pro and download and loaded a different browser than you was using Chrome as all android phone have chrome as standard build in 👍🏻 unless you disable chrome and put on another browser as I said everyone who disabled chrome and put on another browser do not have the Stutter problem on the YouTube APP....it's chrome running in background that makes the YouTube APP stutter 👍🏻

So if the stuttering is bad with the Samsung S23 series Samsung's software is bad too 👍🏻 you can't say the Honor Magic 5 Pro has a major problem and then say I'm going to buy the Samsung S23 ultra that has a worse Stutter problem 👍🏻 if you don't want the Honor Magic 5 Pro as you said you have sent back ...just buy the s23 Ultra that you said you would get instead and have a stutter problem on that phone too 🤣

Also when I open the YouTube app it doesn’t open the chrome browser. I don’t use chrome anyway so I guess it opens another browser lmao

Mine is still stuck with the February android security patch (it's May 20th) and there are no updates offered. I don't remember seeing such a thing on a recent flagship!

I bought this phone today for it's 512 Gbytes storage. No Xiaomi 13 Ultra, Oppo Find X6 Pro in Malaysia (that have the same storage). No Samsung for me as there is no IR blaster. No Huawei for me as there is no 5G. From this page I could see that the WiFi is up to 6. Bought it anyway. At home, after the purchase, when looking at the Honor's website, IT HAS WIFI 7!!!!!

It has nothing to do with the reso... moreI have not got the Stutter on the YouTube App because I got rid of the chrome browser on day 1 of receiving my Honor Magic 5 Pro and replaced my internet browser to the Samsung internet browser .. it's the chrome browser that is making the YouTube App stutter not the phone ...just change your browser on the phone and the YouTube app problem goes away 👍🏻 I stopped using Chrome years age because it was allways glitchy
Ive seen the forums on the YouTube issue and people that changed there internet browser to Edge and like me Samsung internet browser do not have any YouTube problems so my guess it's chrome that's making the YouTube app stutter because the problem is only happening to people who are still using Chrome that came with the phone ...just change chrome to something better ... As I said before I stopped using Chrome years ago on my S20 ultra and S21 ultra it was allways glitchy

Commented on Reddit too. ... moreChange chrome to Edge or Samsung internet browser then try the Youtube app again ....I deleted chrome and put on Samsung internet browser and have no problems on the YouTube app in 120hz , 90hz or 60 Hz people that changed chrome to another browser have not got the YouTube app stutter or lag on it only with chrome as their main internet browser... I've never liked chrome and stopped using it years ago on my old Samsungs phones ...I've no problems on my Honor Magic 5 Pro with the YouTube app on any display settings using Samsung internet browser ...give it a go and see if the youtube app still lags and Stutters because mine does not using the Samsung internet browser as my main browser on my Honor Magic 5 Pro ....I think the stutter on the YouTube App has something to do with chrome brower not the phone 👍🏻

Honor Magic 5 Pro 0 to 100% charge = 52 minutes
Samsung S23 Ultra 0 to 100% charge = 58 minutes
6 minutes of difference while the S23U got a 20% better battery endurance according to GSMArena tests.

Samsung internet browser is better .. so it could be that with the Youtube Stutter as I read others use edge and do not get stutter on the YouTube app could be a chrome thing .. as I deleted chrome on the first day of getting my phone and used the Samsung internet browser maybe that's why my YouTube app works perfectly on my Honor Magic 5 Pro in all settings
