He ... moreFrom all your epistles, you never had the honor or S23U, I had S23U 512GB/12GB for nraly 2 months before I lost it and Honor magic is currently with me, I speak based on the experience of using both. You relied on lies you read on some of these paid reviewers. I can only consider your long epistle if you lay your hands on the phone. Apart from lens flare while taking selfies in difficult conditions, I have no issue with honor magic 5 pro. Let me correct your wrong impression about the lower price and numerous gifts. Offering those discounts does not make honor a garbage, every phone manufactures does this at the launch, I got my S23U at a very good discount.

Google doesn't fully translate it but I mostly agree with what it says there. I see they also mention the same overheating issues I have said I had in 2 different Honors and I have being recalled as a paid commenter lol. I'm not saying all have this issue, but many do definetly as even GSMArena said it so. I don't win anything by writing lies.
In overall it's a good phone and I didn't find very big cons. Like I have said previously for 900€ + gifts it's a good deal. But I can't have it as it lags with PS2 emulation after the throttling starts in 10-15 minutes (I only play 2 games on my phones, GT4 and DBZ both on PS2 emus) I also didn't like the oversaturation but you turn off AI for photos and it's all good. If you don't play with your phone, it's a very good deal. Cheers!

I am also hoping a lot for the Pixel 8 Pro. One thing is sure, I'm not buying no iPhone. I HATE Apple. For real.

They have so many complains in most if not all active smartphone forums, in XDA there is an entire thread for problems. Many users are returning it back for different reasons but your lens flare issue seems really serious. That camera is not usable if you have that huge ahh rainbow in the middle of your photo. I would complain and reclaim back what's mine. If they (Honor support) don't agree and don't accept a return then fill a complaint at your local customer protection agency.

I have also read a lot about overheating and throttling issues with the Honor Magic 5 Pro in Spanish and Italian forums. Come on, that YT video is a joke as that's not a proper comparison because it doesn't reflect daily usage. According to these type of videos, S22 Ultra had a better battery life than most of the other 2022 flagships but we all know that's false as the Exynos 2200 was bad.
In one of the forums I have said above, there is a guy who posted screenshots of both and his S23 Ultra drained from 80% to 78% at night when he slept and his Magic 5 Pro from 80% to 77% with identical conditions. For daily SoT he gets 1-1:30h more on the Samsung so it seems you're doing buyers remorse' comments or you're not honest at all. Because I do believe him and his screenshots. I don't believe your 10 comments account, especially when all of your comments are praising this Honor. I don't even think you ever had a S23 Ultra.

GSMArena endurance: S23 Ultra 126 hours, Magic 5 Pro 108 hours. PCMark endurance: S23 Ultra 17.3 hours 60hz / 14.3 hours 120hz, Magic 5 Pro 15.5 hours 60hz / 12.9 hours 120hz so S23 Ultra wins clearly in both.
Not a huge difference and in PCMark S23 Ultra ranks 1st and Magic 5 Pro ranks 3rd so your Honor is still top 3 so chill down. It's very good, but not better than S23 Ultra.
As for charging speed, the Honor charges 0-100 in 51 minutes and the S23 Ultra in 58 minutes so for having 21W more (66W vs 45W) it barely wins by 7 minutes? As for sustained W and optimisation Samsung is much better. I mean the proof is +21W but only 7 minutes of difference. Yet in wireless charge the Honor is much faster than the S23 Ultra.
Other comments from some users also include spotted problems with YouTube and Google Maps (I saw these on XDA and the other forums too) as well as I saw here in GSMArena and XDA some of the Lens Flare problems, but no one has this problem in the Spanish or Italian forums.
I want to buy this phone and I'm still not decided because I see many people returning it in various forums from various countries. Many also complain a lot. Don't try to whitewash these problems, that won't make them disappear. Most users also criticize the lack of updates. If Honor gives so easily a -300€ discount with gifts at the very beginning when the phone is meant to give them the biggest profits, that makes me think something is wrong and Honor knows it. Because no one makes such discounts without solid reasons.

You even complained about bloatware which I don't understand at all, magic UI is one of the cleanest Android OS from what I can see, It is lighter than S23U you tried to paint as immaculate here. Tell me the app in the magic UI that fit the title of bloatware, all i see are useful apps and some google apps, I was surprised that I can actually uninstall some apps. Your opinion about this phone is biased. It won in youtube battery drain test and yet you still have issue with it, would you have disputed it if the S23U had won? Be honest with your review, so that it will be fair on the manufacturers.

XunHen1987, 30 Apr 2023Nah no way the display is not "far better" than t... moreI think its more about personal preference. my friend I don't play games, I do only video Editing alot in different apps and do Raw file editing, and S22 Ultra Exyons slows me down and heat up sometimes. meanwhile no such issues with Magic 5 pro Obviously S GEN 2 latest chip. S22 Ultra Display is not bad. Never Had any Xiaomi Experience so don't know much about them. Although i am thinking to buy Xiaomi 13 Pro this time but i pick Magic 5 pro because of my past good experience with Huawei P series and Mate series.

The battery is A tier (not S tier like Samsung S23 Ultra or iPhone 14 Pro Max) but on pair with OnePlus 11 and Xiaomi 13 Pro so I would say it has a pretty good battery. In fact I'd say even better than Xiaomi 13 Pro which I also had.
With my usage I got 6-7 hours SoT so it's nice. The GSM endurance rating is a good indicator, much better than a pointless YouTube video that unplugs the phone and uses it for 10 straight hours watching videos and that stuff. That's not a good representation of proper IRL usage.

They are pretty similar. For the rest I agree, same can be said for S23 Ultra against S22 Ultra. The S23U gives a very huge beating to the S22U which had some weak points but a very big con called Exynos with very bad draining battery issues.
Try PS2 emulation, play Gran Turismo 4 ... my 5 Pro got overheated after 10-15 minutes of playing it and the FPS drop was massive, both GSMArena and XDA mention thrlotting and overheating issues when you require the CPU to work hard for more than 10-15 minutes, Check the review.
Honor capped 4K video recording to a maximum of 15 minutes so even they know they did something wrong as there is no other possible explanation for that 15 minute limit. Again as I have said for 900€ with gifts it's much cheaper even than a Xiaomi 13 Pro and it's much better than any Xiaomi. Another thing I dislike is Magic UI coz it has lots of bloatware and I don't like them forcing to use their assistant, although many can be wiped out for the Google ones.
