Anonymous, 18 Jan 2024Will this device launch in South Africa by any chance ???Ive said a couple times GSM need to be doing per region segments for phones and what is coming to the continent/sort of pricing and how software side will be dealt with, unfortunately its a usa and europe focus site (even though we clearly have African/asian/south american and UK based viewers here).

Anonymous, 22 Jan 2024Magic 6 pro actually has the strongest glass in a smartphon... moreHuawei actually does for flagship devices, kunlun glass is silly strong, even makes iphones blush haha (seen tests on youtube from different types of creators from samsung/apple supporters to other flagship option phones). Sure i saw the p60 pro or mate 60 pro take a steel ball land on the screen from about a metre high i think and not even a scratch haha, iphone screen cracked badly, don't think it was useable afterwards.

If it cannot work on that app then its app restrictions not the phone (im sure few laws came in a couple years ago so some apps just will not let you with certain aspects of that app).

Does the Honor Magic6 Pro have a built-in screen recorder that records video calls with sound on both sides? Because that's what I'm also looking for in a phone.

Waiting to see it's satellite connectivity if it works outside china as china beidou etc satellite technology is at par with GPS glonass etc ,china must push aggressively for these phones middle East where people are desperate for xio usa alternatives

Magic 6 pro actually has the strongest glass in a smartphone. Beating xiaomi longjin and apple ceramic shield.

Im getting this Magic 6 pro or RSR.. I will wait till March before i will decide... Honor really did some magic with this phone.

I have seen some comparison between oppo and magic6 pro.., its literally beat oppo x7 ultra in night picture at 5x & 10x Zoom on weibo... I was shocked. How i wish i can send pictures here..Day pictures will even do better.

I'm actually looking forward to the 2.5X zoom. I find the typical 23mm lens to be too wide for most shots because it fails to isolate the subject. I had to crop most of my photos because of it. 50mm lens is my favorite all-around lens when using my real camera. Having a 23mm and 58mm on a phone, both with large sensor, is good for me.

2.5x is just fine if the output is good. P30 pro had 8mp 5x optical zomm and p50 pro had 64mp 3.5x optical zoom. But p50pro was way better than p30 pro. I think the same will happen. 180mp 2.5x will perform better than lower res 5x optical cameras. Similar thing is already proven. Lower optical zoom has some advantage too: less shakey footage, better night performance etc etc..

Honestly I think the Magic 6 Pro is damn ugly! I loved the Magic 5 Pro design that's one of the reasons I bought it! There's just something about that ugly camera bump that feels like the Magic 5 Pro has now got a beer belly that looks hideous! Also why have they dialled back the optical zoom from 3.5X to 2.5X? I guess cause they're gonna just crop in on that megapixel count, I wont be getting this years upgrade just the looks put me off
