as I know, Huavei and Honor devices do not support Double Tap to wake the screen.

    Dear elite Honor View 20 users, Hi...!! Purchase this perfect beast Honor View 20 8GB RAM 256GB Internal Storage for US 335 $ in India. Awesome GSM LTE super fast Device with neighbors envy owner's pride specifications as well as all necessary features except expandable storage (so purchased highest 256GB internal storage variant) & FM Radio. Received Magic 3.0.0 upgrade also. Awesome screen display, Battery performance/ SOT & much more. Still I wanna ask about or address Two important features after Magic 3.0.0 upgrade....
    One is how to enable system wide Dark mode along with all the dark mode enabled apps & Secondly how can I enable gestures like Double Tap to wake up the screen & Double Tap to make screen sleep etc. Please show by illustrative navigation map to go about these Two features. Thank you in advance.

      I have bought this device with about 315$
      Really this is an awesome device
      256 giga storage 8 giga ram amaizing camera but needs huage updates in magic ui ecosystem
      But i this this is a perfect device

          Hi, anyone facing issue where the phone like no Internet connectivity or stop sync when screen off? I noticed that my social app like Facebook and WhatsApp stop pushing notification when screen off. My Web WhatsApp even shown that my phone WhatsApp is not connected to Internet. I'm very sure that I didn't stop these few app from auto launch and run in background. Any idea how to solve yea?

            Got this absolute beast of a device for a steal..15k inr or 200 $
            been using this for nearly a month now
            Battery life is brilliant lasts more than a day and that super charging even though its 22 W for india but it still beats one plus 6t in fast charging did a battery test with a friend..both charged fully at nearly same time hardly 10-20 secs difference..but remember this one has 4000 mh battery compared to one plus 3700

            Display even though is LTPS IPS..is good enough quite vibrant and bright even during sunlight , you wont have problems reading stuff or watching videos
            Camera is amazing ..AI really kicks in.. i am not a camera fanboy but whatever i have clicked its great clarity

            Coming to processor and perfomance which is the highlight for me...980 kirin 7 nm is just too good..i keep apps in memory and see if it reloads or not..it doesnt..even high end games..phone never has lagged...and ill get Emui 10 update with android 10 soon..

            watching videos is such a pleasure...
            Happy to have bought this phone after honor 8 pro which been using for more than 2 years...and that phone still rocks..in performance and display QUAD HD
            battery is good enough for a day...with that smart resolution on..since battery depreciates...after 2 years..still its power saving mode comes handy
            performance and tough hasn't dipped..thing i like about honor phones..

            i guess this honor view 20 would easily last 2-3 years..with great perfomance..

              So with that,honor view 20 is more of a choice than the nova 5t also view 20 has price down with the variant 8gb/256gb also

                5T has better cameras. Smaller display. Fingerprint sensor the on side.
                View 20 has bigger display. Bigger battery. Fingerprint sensor the on back. And has a headphone jack at the top. With 8GB model you get 256GB storage
                Neither have SD card slot
                5T might not have Google services because of the time it was released but Honor 20 does have Google services.

                Both are great phones but I personally would have View 20 because of headphone jack which I cannot live without. View 20 might also be cheaper because it came out earlier but it depends where you live.

                    I'm using this phone alongside P30 pro, S10+ and Note 10+.
                    Not much difference between them except the OS and interface.

                    2. Performance wise, I felt its not much of a big difference unless u are doing heavy gaming.

                    3. Basically, phones are meant for 2 hands where possible but bcos lately people are doing too many things at the same time, 1 hand is not easy as the width is quite out for the thumb.

                    4. I felt Huawei phones win against most others in these 3 factors;
                    a- Battery performance (drain or charge) - Supercharge available while superslow drain after u had properly done the update needed.
                    b- Currently the only Andriod 9 phone with a loop screen, all others do not have it anymore.
                    c- cost effective only if u know what u want instead of hoping one phone to do every possible situation imaginable.

Does the phone charging only when it is open cause I shut it down and I put it on charge but it open and ask me to put the Sim pin but I didn't open it. Can anyone help me with that?

                        R:The screen is great, very beautiful and shiny. I had an amoled screen phone before de View 20, can't tell the diference.

                        - does the 980 falls well behind the 855s in performances or is it more than OK-tiers ?
                        R:It's super fast. The apps open in the moment i click on them. It's more then enough, but, as far as i've seen, the Kirin 980 is above the S845 and a little bit below the S855 in raw performance.

                        - Is its size way too big to be used comfortaby with one hand ?
                        R: It's a big phone. The screen is much bigger than a whole iPhone 6/7/8, for example. I can use it with 1 hand (i'm 184cm tall), but I recommend to use with both hands, it's much more confortable.

                        - Finally, do you think the Honor 20 pro will be worth the extra bucks over the one you have or is it more than enough for the price (talking about the V20).
                        R: I don't know, I think it depends on the price in your market. I had my doubts: Mi9, Mix 3, Honor View 20 or Honor 20/20 pro? After buying the View 20: don't hesitate if you want to buy the View 20. It's the best price in the category. It's camera is really good, great lightining performance and the battery lasts forever.

                              On the recent update Magic2.1, we can use launchers on playstore. Need to reset ur phone 1st after update.

                                  - Subsidiary like how Lexus is of Toyota's. Honor is targeted at younger audiences with lower pocket depths but still keeping the high quality stuffs.
                                  Currently its one of the few which has the big market leaders chasing....take the corner punch-hole cam. Though Samsung came up with one earlier, it was this phone that created the hype, coupled with TOF cam, extravagant back V pattern and crushing battery life (wins over 99% of ALL Samsung and iPhones)

                                  3- What is the back made from? plastic or gorilla glass and what degree?
                                  Glass. Go check out MrWhosetheboss vid on this phone.
                                  Besides, its not of high importance cos its amazingly cool to use. Even cooler compared to Oneplus 7 pro.

                                  The only drawback i would say is the pricing at where u may purchase from.
                                  Sets in China are at least 20% cheaper while other Asia gets premiums with phone and an approximate of 8% off.
                                  U shld check out one and decide if u wanna get this or another Huawei phone.

                                    Honor is owned by Huawei and with and is under the trademark of Huawei,
                                    but they offer more for less money of Huawei using they new parts as an experiment.
                                    The Honor View 20 was the best phone of 2018. It's got plenty of horsepower for anything you want to throw at it - games, media creation, and heavy multitasking.
                                    Made of aluminum and on both sides glass,, but no gorilla glass protection and no microSD card slot expansion, only Honor 8X has gorilla glass 3 protection.
                                    In my opinion this model kills all the devices of the mid-range and classifies in high performance class , reminding that has an excellent 48MP camera combined with the Quad Bayer technology produces excellent stills, it has good battery life and a killer flagship chipset.

                                      Good phone using for 2 weeks now,
                                      In slo-mo can only shoot 10sec of x32 at a time. Really limits everything!
                                      Oh and there is x4, x8 and x32... there are no x16 slo-mo that would be a sweet spot, not too slow and not too fast :(
                                      Screen could be little brighter, in sunny days you basically are very limited(my old 4y.o. huawei smartphone is brighter)

                                      Battery life is excellent i carge up and last 4 full days (moderate use).. basily battery draw is 20-25%/day with my usage.

                                      Overall im satisfied for the price point, bought it(128gb ROM, 6gb RAM, black version) on sale for 350€ in Latvia.

                                        1- Is this phone a good mid-range phone?
