Honor X60 GT is official with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset
Honor X60 GT is now official in China, five days after it was listed for registrations. The device comes with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset and a 6,300 mAh battery, which is one of the biggest cells the company has ever used in its smartphones.

The Honor X60 GT is one of three GT devices, scheduled for this week; the GT Pro phone and GT Pad Pro tablet are coming tomorrow, April 23. This one brings a 6.7" AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution (technically it is 2,664 x 1,200 pixels), and up to 5,000 nits peak brightness.
The Qualcomm chipset is coupled with 12 GB or 16 GB RAM and either 256 GB or 512 GB storage – there are three memory combinations in total.

There is a dual-camera setup on the rear, featuring a 50 MP f/1.9 main camera with OIS and a lowly 2 MP depth sensor. For selfies, there's a 16 MP camera with an f/2.45 aperture at the front.
The massive battery supports 80W charging, letting it regain 47% in 15 minutes. It also comes with bypass charging, and to prevent the device from overheating, Honor added a vapor chamber and cooling elements with total area of 5,514 sq.mm.
Honor X60 GT comes with MagicOS 9.0, which brings several AI features for photo editing, like expanding images, changing the style, or eliminating background objects. The UI also brings a personal assistant, Dynamic Island-type notifications and AI face change for video calls.
The phone comes in three colors – Black, White, and Blue, the latter two having a neat grid pattern on the back. Honor is already offering the X60 GT in China with a starting price of CNY 1,799 ($250/€215).

Even the Unisoc T770 is technically a better chipset compared to the SD 8+ Gen 1, besides the lack of 8K support and a GPU weaker in certain aspects.

Apart from that, it isn't different from its earlier iteration, besides the flat display, larger battery and the lack of a 1TB option.
