AnonD-441466, 18 Oct 2016Gaurav, is Android giving Updates to Froyo, Lollipop or Mar... more5s 2013 still running over ios 10.0.2 and will get some more update too.Nexus series also running over latest Android version.Moto devices will get 2 coming Android update.Other brands like HTC,Samsung,Sony,Lg provide Android update for its flagship devices only but Lower segment Smartphone they provide update for its custom ROM like.And Chinese brands like Huawei,One Plus,Xiaomi,Lenovo all these Smartphone also run over it's custom ROM like Emotion,Oxygen,MiUI,Vibe and in Android we can also flash other Custom ROM like Cyanogen Mode.But in Windows there is no option to run custom over the Windows OS.My 1320 is now going to dead almost as we all know that Microsoft not going to provide any update for its older version 8.1 at present WhatsApp takes around 10 min for message delivery and around 15 to 20 to upload videos.I can't use my 2014 Lumia 1320 phone always lags.But Galaxy S III, 2013 Samsung grand and 2013 Micromx Canvas HD still performing very well in day to day usages.But what about 1020,925,1320 these Smartphone is not very old and loaded with nice cheapest but due to the lack of the software update they all are pathetic.Android and iPhone is way ahead in terms of actual world of performance for the longer period of time Windows phone is no ware.I still have 3 Windows phone 1320,640 XL and 640.I knows each cons and pros of Windows phone very well.

Can older Apple iPhones be 'Upgraded' to the latest iOS10? NO SIR!
A Select number of Windows Phones ARE upgradable! And not just Lumias, I have personally upgraded my BLU Win HD LTE from Windows 8.1 to 10 and it runs just fine!!
Microsoft did promise to bring Windows 10 to EVERY earlier Windows Phone, but the they probably gave it up because of the difficulties in porting it to so many different models!
I think they did a FINE JOB, successfully porting it to a number of earlier Phones, Lumias and non-Lumias!!

All Windows 10 Smartphones run the OS Windows 10 Mobile, which id quite different from the Windows 10 you have on Desktops, Laptops and Tablets - even though they look oh-sooo-similar... Trust this answers you question fully

Windows 10 Mobile is being improved! The Redstone 2 is one reason for the delay in the Surface Phone, the other being the availability of the Kaby Lake processor...
I for one am willing to wait some more for the Surface Phone: it is being built to run Win32 Apps (without the need for Antivirus, which would definitely slow down Phone operations). Having switched to Windows with the Lumia 920 itself, I simply cannot go back to Android now - love the Win 8/ 10 interface and ease of use just too much! :)

The Elite X3 turned out to be good but same isn't true for other Windows 10 Mobile devices. Lenovo 503LV has severe overheating issues, Acer Jade Primo has bad over saturated camera and BLU Win HD LTE and Funker W6 has terrible build quality, pathetic cameras and inferior quality displays.
It's hard to move on from Carl Zeiss equipped good quality Lumia phones to such devices.
The worst part about their new strategy is that they would no more produce phones of their own. All the upcoming Windows 10 Mobile devices would be produced by third party manufacturers. Although updates won't be an issue as for Windows 10 Mobile phones they would be directly maintained by Microsoft but quality of devices would be a big issue.
It would have been better if they had done something like what Google does in case of Nexus devices.

I guess I will have to settle for the 950XL-Dual, and use VMware instead of HP's Workforce in order to use my desktop applications on the server. Bummer, because that's not a very affordable solution all-in-all.

Important is the software that runs the thing and I am not impressed with Win10. Love my Lumia 1520 though...

Hp elite x3 dual sim version must have dedicated memory card slot instead of using sim-2 slot,to increase it's usefulness and popularity.

The bad thing about Microsoft they are not stick to its word.Earlier they said each Windows since 520 to 640 and 535 will get Windows 10 update.But what happened We all knows that 1020 is the flagship phone other pricy Lumia devices like 925 & 1320 is not getting Windows 10 update.Why and they stop providing update to its older Windows 8.1 it's a pathetic why anybody will go for the Windows phone there is no sense to use Windows phone.Microsoft have no vision for the future of its mobile business.

Dearest factwriting and factaccepting moral enthusiasts.Undoubtedly,the best Windows smartphone phablet has ever been by HP by Microsoft supporting(father and mother of electronic technology!!)But,logically is the price of $1400 fair,while you can buy almost 9+ Note 3 SD 650 from new infamous good brand with the android OS and give fully populated of your 9 members,each one a decent affordable economically inexpensive budget quality one!!!Xiaome Not 3 pro is one of its best among 40(some really redundant in todays standard criteria!!?I hope a brave one from Microsoft or hp dares answer logically and fearlessly!!!Possibly!?Depends how strong,independent,and logical Microsoft and HP are to ACCEPT FACTWRITING!!!Any hop!?Just time and goodwill proves it!!!?Thanks gsmArena and mentioned names plus the public true decision make3

I also used and like WM10. its better to have choice of what you like. Why i dont use android and ios. Its because of the icons. Still icons from windows 2.0/30. Every body has preference what they like. About apps not every wants apps. Even browser is ok for me. Web apps are the future. I dont see anything amazing feature from android and ios that windows cant. Where did window mode came from? android copy it from windows. Continuum mode will be the future of smartphone. When Intel will release it x86 processor that can be used in windows mobile x86 apps in continuum it will change things for good.

1/ RAM: hard to understand what you wrote about RAM no able to "support all apps and functions" but it seems to run fine (with latest update) according to reviewers
2/ Emails: obviously Outlook DOES support attachments. If there is a strength here, this is the native email client that support for instance very advanced formatting that none of the Gmail and Mail apps on Android / iOS support. Attachments can be automatically download or manually (depending of your choice and how you want to preserve data). All the known formats are open directly from there, including pdf that open in Edge (no need to install anything), or ICS or vCard or whatever you can receive. And if this is a format that cannot be open by any installed app, it proposes to open the Store to show applications that can support it. Also, obviously, Outlook support uploading of any attachments you want.
3/ copy is straighforward. Double tap a word to select it directly with an icon to copy directly visible. And if you want to exten dthe selection, just pull the dot on each side of the world. Much quicker than on iOS for instance.
4/ Obviously as well and again W10M support viber and whatsapp. And I do know which kind of Windows Store limitations you are speaking about except having less apps in total numbers than iOs or Android.
I don't believe you ever have, or even tried this phone and W10M as everything you said showed complete lack of knowledge of basic usage of Windows Mobile.
