Users saying that this phone should be smaller, or that they won't take business from Samsung of the Priv seem to have forgotten that this phone isn't truly being marketed to them. While it will essentially take the rest of Blackberry's "niche", Consumer based suppliers are not it's competition. Enterprises are the target audience, not you and I (even though we still find it fascinating).

Samsung do it too with 7,7e,6+ but more sizes they out in mid-range, similar microsoft but they are yet to be periodical. I don't get why someone use hard keys after win shape writing demo. I don't see hp to release 2 sizes, they are probably happy to release 1 phone, but mil rating is still cool. May spirit of 808 descend to WS1050.

Once you get used to b... moreIndeed, I agree with you that for Note users who want to change to a Windows phone, it is hands down the best option, other than that it is a great option for those who are looking to upgrade from Lumia 1520 but I still won't call it a competition for 6S and Priv because the phone is kinda too big to appeal the 6S users and as far as Priv users are considered I don't think this phone will attract them as it lacks a physical keyboard. However if HP makes a slightly smaller Windows Phone with same specs and slide out keyboard it'll surely decimate all other phones.

Once you get used to bigger screen you will want just the same or a bigger one - note6 should be 5.8 and this is not bad either. For now its hard to find device with similar specs even in android/ios realm. I really wish it to come soon, and for gsma to review it. There is no word of surface phone and this is the closest thing to best 5.7"+ phablet. Wonder if it will be enough in Q3 when note6,Z6,... comes out. Would it come out now, it woud be big difference.

This phone is near perfect upgrade for Lumia 1520 users. All they need to do is release it with more color options.
Other than that they should also release a smaller version of this phone with 5.1 inch 2560x1440 resolution display, it'll cover the present Lumia 930 users too.

The problem with this phablet is its huge size. No matter how you see it 6 inch phablets aren't popular. Such large devices appeal to a niche segment of consumers. However if HP releases a smaller version of this device with same specs and a screen size between 5.1 to 5.4 inches then I'm quite sure it would give 6S and Priv one hell of a competition.
