This is just the first version of Win Mob OS and it will evolve very soon just like apple did. Even apple or android had its limitations in the earlier editions. Microsoft had to build this OS from scratch and that's the reason they missed out on few things. They will very soon catch up with the rest . Wait for OS updates. I would prefer buying a second or third edition of WinMobOS which would very well compete with iOS or android. This is surely a game changer and will eat into RIM's share very soon. Its a threat for blackberry more than anything

francomur99, 12 Oct 2010The Market is crap,NO Mass Storage Mode, No Videocall, No c... moremost of what you mention are not features but apps. apps take a little time to get developed, same happened with both the iPhone & Android. Even now I could rattle off thousands of apps that the iPhone has that Androids don't.

Trust me every one Anroid mobiles are better than indos mobile ( ease to operate user friendly easy plug and play simple operating system not complicated like windows even a lay man can operate the anroid mobiles )

WHo's going to cut some of the pie, & lose out. Microosoft ought to have a better min requirement & a better software strategy. There is no way they are going to get prospective buyers if the OS isn't upto scratch aswell as the hardware.

The phones are nearly there in the hardware department but they are short of MicroSD, more internal storage memory. The software is a major dissapointment to start with regardless of the big CLOUD computing. It's just BIG guns, firing as always. peope with money with no sense & no better strategy!

Nope not coming to the UK I'm afraid. It'll stay for the North Americas. HTC say that they didn't want to choke the Uk with too many WP7 phones all at once, hence no european rollout strategy for 7 surrond or the pro model.

They are not 4G either. They are all WCDMA radios. BTW, I don't like the min WP7 requirement of having no MicroSD card. Also verion two of WP7 will supposedly have copy & paste. Err... What about external storage? ...What about multitasking? Is this getting all too familiar near apple pie territory?

I will say from a smartphone user stand point, the new Windows mobile phones seem promising. Yes there are some limitations at the moment but this particular phone would be something I will more than likely purchase. I'm a past user of windows zune players and have become quite fond of zune music subscription. Would love to have all the mp3's download I can for a low monthly fee and be able to keep 5 each month. Lord knows how much I spend already on iTunes downloads a month. Yes their are ways to obtain free music but in all truths users should buy tracks and support their artists if the music industry is to survive. Welcome windows 7 and I'll see you soon.

Android forever ! Android is the future! Windows Phone 7 has not chance at all to compete for the crown!

The Market is crap,NO Mass Storage Mode, No Videocall, No copy and paste, No Flash, No bluetooth file sharing, No Wireless Tethering, I presume No Multitasking like Android, and moreover we don't know what else....like Skype,Spotify,Podcast, No Live Wallpaper, No customization, No app to Sd card,No BBc iPlayer, forget to install another UI or another Home, No Winamp Remote, No iTunes remote, No TV, No Skyfire. I'm afraid Windows Phone 7 will not go very far unless it will add all the missing features.

HTC announced many phones today. They are a great company! I saw the review of the new OS, and it lacs MANY things, such us copy paste, Mass storage mode and so on. My question is WHY??
