I CANNOT directly sync outlook personal calendar, notes, tasks or contacts to the HTC Surround with Windows 7.
However, there is long way to sync ONLY the contacts. I have to export outlook contacts to a CSV file, create hotmail account, import it into this account and then the contact info will sync to my HTC phone. There is no way of syncing Outlook calendar, Notes and tasks.
What’s wrong with the Microsoft people? Are they insane! I need to sync my calendar, notes and contact information daily.
The HTC Surround phone is another hype!! Windows 7 mobile is another failure.
Now, I am stuck for two years with a substandard phone running substandard mobile operating system. The purchase cost me $200 and to return it, the stocking fee is more than15%.
I do not recommend buying this product if you need a serious smartphone.
The tech pundits are not telling the whole story about this phone.

The phone will integrate all your MSN contacts with your phone contact. Hopefully Microsoft will announce this feature together with the copy and paste plus task switcher firmware.

I just got the phone today and I have a question that I hope someone can help me with. When I add my hotmail account it adds all my contacts from from my messanger does anyone know how to separate it from just my phone contacts? I hope someone can help me!

love the idea of the phone if it takes off the phone will be great. reminds me of when the iphone 1st hit thet market though.short battery life operating system reqs some tewaking. all in all it would be a great phone just have to get over the aadicts of the i phone. one question to ask is why would att try to out do the i phone with other smart phones? answer...crappy customer service and warranty disinformation. read the small print if your not already an att customer and if you can afford to change companies due to where you live perhaps att is not the best.

Battery Life:- use GPRS hen u actually need it ..othrwise disconnct it and c how bttry rocks..not much but still accptable.

This is an interesting mobile phone. It has huge stereo speakers! The last time I saw stereo speakers on a phone was the X6 from Nokia and it was nothing as impressive and had godawful specs.

Wow this phone is unbelievable.... I'm just saving my money to buy this phone... when i saw this phone im gladly change my mind to switch from buying th iPhone 4 to HTC surround... i hope the phone is availble in the Philippines by December....
