I bought this phone last March and have been having problems with it. It turns on and off by itself, locks up and has to be charged several times a day. About the first 3 months after I got it, it was ok, but with time, it has gone downhill.

its worth buying phone, I am using it since 6 months,
I didn't found any problem in it, neither auto shutdown
nor battery problem,
but waiting for its official ICS or Jellybean launch.
as a matter of fact Zain is right about refurbish cells. be careful about that.

alistair, 03 May 2013Zain I wanted to ask you is there any problem in this set s... morei would recommend if you buy from a HTC franchise shop or outlet , not any other, as some people are selling refurbished sets which have battery or other problems, after buying check it for 2-4 days, if theres anything wrong go and get it replaced by a new one. note this set was released in 2011 so always buy n check and do not buy a refurbished one it can have problems

plus dont root ICS on amaze for Non-US , only update phone when available through HTC, otherwise you will face problems on custom ROMS, use custom ROM not much diff than ICS until official update comes

best processor speed, amazing camera, battery is good, I dont why are people complaining, all androids need a charge after a whole day use that is 24 hours. good pixel better than Samsung S3 which heats up, you can compare them anytime

Is there a f....ing way of enabling the WCDMA 900 band on this phone?
I don't know why on earth companies lock some WCDMA bands on certains phone which have a radio baseband capable of handling those bands...

My dear fellows don't make a mistake by buying HTC amaze 4g. The cell phone HTC amaze 4g is very bad mobile. HTC amaze 4g hangs a lot. It's battery timing is very low. It cannot b upgraded. It gets heat up very quickly. It has a very pooor repute. So fellows never buy or think about buying HTC amaze 4g

Anybody who is well known about smart phones specially about HTC AMAZE 4G and who is using it, please tell me what is the diffirance between HTC AMAZE 4G(X715M) and HTC AMAZE 4G(X715E), are these two phones same or diffirant models...?I'm so confuse about it. Please anybody can help me and informe me about this tipicall question. Thanks

* unique design
* heavy
* good ppi
* audio output is awesome
* very disappointed with battery life(hope jelly bean will fix this)
* heats up very quickly
* camera quality is somewhat OK. I'm having some problem with focusing.
* Dual LED does a great job.
* Full HD video rec is not that good. I suggest to use HD rec for better result.
* Stock OS is very slow. After the ICS update it is OK.
Overall performance is good. I'm waiting for the official JB update for this device..

Go to xdadevelopers.com htc amaze forum, get instruction, how to s-off htc amaze, after that u'll b able to flash any custom rom based on any os version.
