Poor internal memory.
Phone claims 512MB of ROM/ram, yet with the default applications installed you are only left with 160MB. The remaining memory isn't even shown as it is on other HTC phones. If you go to to the Applications option under settings it shows 139mb with 11 meg free (from new with 2 extra apps installed)
A Desire-s and Incredible-s, both with a lot of extra apps shows 243mb used and 0.89GB free (yet they only has 256mb more ram than cha cha).
So how does the CHA hide or eat all it's ram?
Already got a complaint into Phone provider as this android phone basically isn't fit for purpose in terms of using the Market as you pretty much cant download and install anything.

Soheil, 09 Aug 2011good phone. fast. classy. and android :) cam is average...... moreNah,I just updated to latest firmware & the camera pics are sharp. One thing you'll notice is they look blurry when taking photos but once you view them on pc or in phones gallery they are excellent. Phone is fast too

Battery problems?
Please read...Importan to those who complain about the battery life.
Since the ChaCha has a pretty small screen, it doesn't require too much power to suck on to keep it going. It does, of course, use power to keep your feeds up to date, but we would go so far as to venture that this is some of the best battery life we've seen on a HTC device so far. It also charges remarkably quickly - probably because that battery is smaller.
HTC quotes talk time as being up to 450 minutes on GS, with 400 hours of standby time. Of course, it's never quite possible to match the manufacturer's claims, and it will always depend on how you use your phone.
Gone are the days when we all had only phone calls, text messages and Snake to measure our usage.
We took our review unit off charge at 9pm on a Monday evening. After setting it up and downloading a few apps from the Market, by 9am, it was still on 80%.
Over the next day, we took about 15 photos, a couple of videos, played games for about 30 minutes, sent 36 texts and 24 emails plus dipped in and out of Twitter and Facebook. It didn't completely die until just after 8am on the Wednesday morning which, for a modern smartphone, we think is fairly impressive.
More so when you consider that Android phones don't have the best record when it comes to battery life. If you decide to go away for the weekend and use the ChaCha sparingly, we see no reason why this phone wouldn't give you a full two days' worth of juice.

Be very careful when buying this phone.
Back cover to access the battery and Sim is flat and thin side so it's not the easiest thing to press. Unfortunately, the microSD card slot is located next to the battery and replacing the card without taking out the battery is impossible, To access the battery you slide the bottom half of the back panel downwards. It takes a lot of force before the part starts sliding causing damage to the phone, it took 6 people trying to slide the cover to no avail unfortunately 4 me I bought 2 of these and now stuck with it

battery issues? no way because me and our colleagues are using the same phone for past 2 months its great, we get it for 5- 6 hrs talktime...
u can improve your battery backup by charging for 8 hrs for 3 times i.e., charge n drain it completely

BAD PHONE. Very poor battery life. Low Sound. Go for Blackberry instead.

The HTC Cha Cha can deliver very well.
Things i like about this handset:
Gorilla glass wich is a very durable and scratch resist glass...
Touch screen and Qwerty keypad capable...
You can chat on facebook with your facebook buddies...
You have GPS...
Wi-Fi...
Bluetooth version is 3.0 compared to other handsets...
Android version is 2.3.3 Gingerbread.. but not the latest Gingerbread version...
It plays mobile games very well...
