ab, 09 Aug 2010Dear SS, Please let me know as you are already using skype... moreThere are 2 major differences when you use Skype via Nimbuzz compared to Skype on PC.

1) Nimbuzz doesn't support video calls.
2) The quality of Skype via Nimbuzz is inferior to the quality of Skype via PC. It has a small delay in voice call (1-2 seconds), which you can leave with actually.

A native Skype application would be very much preferred on Android. Let's hope this comes soon (if operators do not block it).

Nimbuzz has just recently released an update (v2.0), which brings further improvements.

mado, 09 Aug 2010what's better n8 or htc desire in all qualites plz replay fastWhen you compare Desire with Nokia N8, you should consider two things:
    1) Timing - Desire is long available, tested and already has a large user base. N8 is yet to come.
    2) The UI - Desire is using the very intuitive and fluid Android 2.2 with HTC Sense. N8 is going to use Symbian^3, which is basically the same old and crappy S60V5.

The choice is not hard in this case: Desire is far superior and more pleasant to use.

umm, 10 Aug 2010hey again,, err ok couple things... btw never really had in... moreThere are a few GPS navigation programs that can be used nicely with Desire (besides the obvious free Google Maps).
I've used Sygic and it works fine. Maps auto-scroll, you get lane assistance, signpost info on display, radar warnings that you can import yourself, borderless route planning. The maps are pretty recent as well (2010).

In addition, you can get Copilot, Navigon, nDrive, iGO, and bunch of others.

I test iphone4 and HTC desire just beside each other in apple store and I surely say, desire is far above iphone4.

I was an iPhone user for 2 years since the release of the iPhone 3G. My contract expired and after all the hype of Android I decided to buy an HTC Desire. I have had the phone for about 4 months now and I can safely say I prefer the iPhone!!! So much so that I extended my contract and my new iPhone 4 will be delivered in the coming weeks.

Reason for this comment is to let everyone know that Desire and in fact ALL smartphones have a 'death grip' I squeeze the Desire and lost 3 bars of signal. Because of this I feel even more comfortable now switching back to iPhone, even with their supposed antenna issues!

                            Try it for yourselves....

A few developers have had their hands on the N8 but am sure they are sworn to secrecy u will just have to wait. Desire is a nice phone but it is already about 6 to 7 months old and that is a very long time in mobile phone life
