Anonymous, 20 Jul 2010hi there. you must be able to install .apk apps to this... moreI managed to install fishtext via websms android app. works a wonder! I overcame the sound quality of the HTC headphones by buying a pair of Sennheiser. The volume is still quite limited but no complaints, it works a charm. I am very surprised, for 3 weeks of usage, the phone has not frozen or got stuck on me just once! amazing OS and hardware. I am upset today to know that the N8 is coming out finally in September. But I hope I made the best decision by not waiting for the N8 and I can live until the N9 is released when I am up for my next upgrade :) happy desiring guys!

After a few months of usage I feel very much attached to my HTC Desire. It does all I need perfectly well. Here are some areas that are worth mentioning.
                - Connectivity is excellent. Be that via WiFi, BT, 3G, it never let's me down. Synchronization of mail, contacts, calendar work fine locally and online.
                - Camera performs OK, especially in combination with DE like Camera360 (using special effects).
                - GPS Navigation is perfect: tested SW includes Sygic, Copilot, Navigon, Google Maps.
                - Watching videos is great. You don't even have to convert your avi or mkv videos. I'd recommend especially the Rockplayer.
-Android OS + HTC Sense are a great combination. It certainly beats the aging Symbian OS.
                - The Snapdragon CPU makes the phone very responsive and ready for future upgrades to OS 2.2 and 3.0.
                - Ambled screen is great inside, but is useless under sunlight. The battery life could be better.

                Conclusion: Highly Recommended!
