@ Ui{L.. Almost same featured phones. Go for samsung wave, if you need eye candy super amoled screen- the best mobile screen ever, all in one social networking- a new feature that Bada has only,but currently Bada app store has only a few app comparing to android.

Hi, bought my desire (black edition) last week, because its on Orange network, they have put some of their own bloatware on it like orange maps, messanger, apps shop etc. but i cant get google talk, anyone know why? cant find it in the android market either.
also anyone managed to get google earth? i know its available for the N1, droid and iphone.

How i can close the application that's appeared when i hold (home) button..i mean let us say if i open my facebook account or compass application ...etc) how i can closed them as (back) buttton does not close it..please advise

The Desire is not available through official channels, rather the Grey market. HTC has delayed the launch due to sales & marketing issues.
Where did you find out that its available for that price?

I did alot of research before I got an upgrade. Decided I was going to go for the Desire. Must say and this is personal opinion that I did not like it and in the process of sendng it back. I found it a bit too fiddly for my liking and not user friendly. Maybe it's because this is the first time I have used the android platform and used an HTC but I just could not get used to it. I know it's probably best phone on market and reviews would back that up but for me this phone just does not do it.

Love every minute with the phone! If the iphone is the "Jesus" phone, then the Desire is clearly the "Godly" phone!

Sajid, 29 May 2010Its July end In INDIA, dunno why they are delaying it ??i bought htc desire through ebay for 34000rs and now today i went to market to sell it, and came to know that it has arrived in india and now available for just 26000rs. i was literally shocked and felt like fainting. its so cheap in india and how fool i am to buy it from the internet :(

Been using Desire for two weeks. Battery lasts now for up to 4 days. Need to turn wifi off when outside, and if not needed mobile 3G internet. Installed yxflash - can play xvid/divx videos - but they are slightly choppy. Web browser is very good - no complaints about that. One big complaint, is that beautiful 3D gameloft games are not working at all (dungeon hunter). GPS is working very nice - Endomondo tracking software for sports is supported, and recording distance very accurately. My phone was 450 euro without a contract, and I can say that the phone is worth it.
